The Cyber Security Engineer will directly support the SMD of Security Architecture & Engineering and is responsible for providing the highest quality Cyber and Information Technology (IT) security solutions to Webster Bank associates and customers. The primary functions for this position include but are not limited to Identity and Access Management controls and integrations, Privilege access management, implementing zero trust models for access to systems and software, then applying their skills to develop and implement high-tech solutions to defend against account takeovers and regulatory deficiencies.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing and engineer secure, trusted identity systems using automation and APIs
• Ensure the value of each security tools is being realized by maturing capabilities and features
• Ensure security tools are updated and properly deployed within the environment
• Ensure that existing network security systems within environment comply with company security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensure that all bank technology initiatives and projects are implemented in a secure manner.

+ Manage & control operating costs for maintenance, engineering & utilities departments. Develop the capital plans & implement the capital budgets.
+ Participate in policy development & implementation for safety, environmental, quality & cost strategies for the plant.

**The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:**
+ Working with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects
+ Assisting operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving
+ Participating in process safety management activities and reviews
+ Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
+ Facilitate Management of Change and other Process Safety documentation
**The following is** **_required_** **for this role:**
+ Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Sophomore or above at time of assignment
+ Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar fields
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
**The following** **is** **_preferred_** **for this role** :
+ 3.0 GPA or above
+ Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom

Chemours is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-op to join our La Porte Technology team! This position will report directly to the La Porte Manufacturing Technology Manager .
As a Mechanical Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with the Advanced Performance Materials team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you've learned in the classroom.
Effective engineering co-ops will have the ability to communicate with impact, have strong self-awareness, and will be naturally inquisitive.
