We are looking for an experienced Director of Station Engineering for the Axiom Space Station Program Facility (SSDF). The Director of Station Engineering is responsible for defining standards, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency within the engineering department. They oversee team performance, conduct technical reviews, and manage resource allocation across projects while maintaining budget and compensation oversight. Additionally, they foster a positive team culture through mentorship, conflict resolution, and performance management, including setting annual objectives and key results (OKRs).
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Define department standards, processes, and best practices for station program engineering staff to establish commonality and harmonization of practice within the department
+ Responsibility and ownership of team output and performance, including technical review of engineering deliverables
+ Review and provide feedback to major design review data packages
+ Leverages extensive experience and judgment to plan and achieve objectives
