This position develops and maintains ETL processes to ensure the timely and accurate movement of data across various systems while optimizing for performance and reliability. The Manager, Data Engineering collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring data consistency, quality, and reliability. You’ll Get a Chance To Lead the data engineering team, hiring, training, mentoring, and growing team members including PRG employees and partner service providers. Architect and implement scalable data solutions using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and other relevant technologies to meet business requirements. Develop and maintain ETL processes for timely and accurate data movement, optimizing performance and reliability. Identify and implement performance improvements, troubleshoot issues, and monitor data solutions for optimal performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integration, consistency, quality, and reliability. Implement and enforce data security and compliance standards in coordination with the security team. Manage data services team operations, including budgeting, procurement, and data quality monitoring, in collaboration with data service leadership. Job Description

We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join our team, focusing on the development of services within and deployment / health of our access control products. In this role, you'll be instrumental in managing the release pipeline for code and configuration changes that run on the access controllers installed at customer sites around the world. If you're passionate about the reliability and health of small system computers, ensuring smooth, reliable software deployments and maintaining system integrity, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a Small Team (~ 4 ppl): Lead and work with a team of talented software engineers to accomplish strategic goals aligned with the services features and functionality we deliver for our access product.
  • Release Management: Drive the planning, execution, and communication of code and configuration releases for access controllers.
  • Code Improvements: As a hands-on technical manager, you'll be instrumental in shaping our fleet management and fleet health analysis capabilities. You'll develop innovative processes and tools alongside your team, delivering on both customer-facing enhancements and internal tooling that directly improves our operational efficiency and customer experience.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a software release engineer/manager.
  • Experience leading or managing a small team of engineers.
  • 3 years of recent experience developing with Python, Go, and Node.js in a software engineering context (not just scripting). Understanding of build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management. Experience with cloud technologies is helpful.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and preventative measures. Extensive experience understanding Linux/product metrics analysis/trends identifying current and potential future issues/concern.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can build strong relationships across departments.
Target Base Salary Range: $89,300 - $178,600

About the Role:

As a CBRE Operations Management Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team responsible for planning, managing, and directing business operations for a small to medium sized client or region.

This job is part of the Operations Management job function. They are responsible for coordinating staff functions and operations that support the organization's goals and strategies.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.

  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Operations Manager Position is $80,000 and the maximum salary for the Operations Manager position is $125,000. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
