**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform general yard maintenance such as sweeping, directing trucks, stocking inventory, and conducting basic concrete tests.
- Conduct concrete tests in both field and plant settings.
- Follow directions from head and junior batchers for general yard duties.
- Dig materials and operate a jackhammer on concrete.
**Essential Skills:**
- 1-2 years of experience working outdoors in a construction environment.
- Experience with front-end loaders, skid steers, backhoes, or excavators.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Punctuality and a desire to grow with the company.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Basic data entry skills.
- Good physical condition for manual labor.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**
- Experience with hand and power tools.

**Job Duties**

Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
+ Understanding the contract needs and specifications of clients and their customers and develop appropriate solutions.
+ Inspect a wide range of habitats, both natural and disturbed, and assess their condition, health and functionality according to client specifications.
+ Identify local species, understand their typical characteristics and recognize common diseases and pests.
+ Train and mentor teammates.
+ Work more directly with clients.
+ Represent the company and the client at professional meetings.

**Education and Required Qualifications:**
+ Two to four year degree in Biology, Botany, Ecology, Forestry, Horticulture, Hydrology, Soil Science, Zoology or related discipline or equivalent experience in a similar position.
+ Natural resource consulting experience preferred.
+ Identify invasive species across a range of habitats.
+ Possession of or be willing to obtain an Minnesota Department of Agriculture Certified Pesticide Applicators License is required.
+ Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
+ Experience with operating heavy equipment, forestry mower, tractor, etc.
+ Ability to perform basic daily maintenance of equipment.
+ Training in chain saw, brush saw, and 4x4 ATV/UTV
+ Driver's license and clean driving record are required.
+ Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain strongly preferred.
**Desired Qualification:**
+ 2+ years experience operating heavy equipment.
+ Prescribed burn experience and S130/S190 certification or ability to become certified .
+ Additional Training in Prescribed Burn Operations.
