Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in financial reporting or a similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including macros, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud, Smartview/Essbase, or Hyperion systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle large datasets.

Performance of a variety of accounting and financial reporting activities. Ensure the accurate and timely preparation, review, production and distribution of internal and external corporate and bank financial reports and data submissions, including reports distributed to or filed with the Truist Board of Directors and Executive Leadership, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Federal Reserve Board (FRB).

+ Support the Company's SEC reporting process including the preparation and filing of periodic SEC filings on Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K to ensure they are complete, accurate, and filed in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
+ Partner with the Investor Relations team and senior stakeholders in the preparation of materials for the quarterly earnings release process and addressing investor queries related to financial reports.

+ Proactively identify, research, consult, and draft technical memorandums on accounting issues and disclosures, including for new accounting and reporting standards.

+ Ensure robust internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, including disclosure controls and procedures.
+ Interact with internal and external audit, and support for the auditing process overall.
+ Act as a change agent to streamline, improve and further automate the SEC reporting processes to provide a new perspective on existing processes.
+ Support disclosure enhancements and process improvements to address internal/external challenges, including ability to research disclosure requirements and interact with internal business leaders / peer institutions to understand disclosure needs.

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Finance Manager, you will manage the team responsible for producing limited output associated with Finance Strategy and Operations, including but not limited to the annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, and management reporting.
This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. They are responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.
**What You'll Do:**
-Support the training and development of staff.
-Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
-Own the budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting.
-Prepare balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows and supporting schedules, and standard consolidated reporting packs for accuracy.
-Prepare and approve basic monthly journal entries.
-Produce a variety of routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages, and pro forma analyses for senior management and planning unit.
-Coordinate research, development, and preparation of accounting policy and procedures.
-Exchange and explain difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues.
-Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

**What You'll Need:**
-Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
-Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
-Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
-Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
-Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
-In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
-Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
-Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

**Your Impact**
The principle purpose of this role is to partner with business leaders (US Home Improvement, Central Dispatch Office, Allied Businesses, and Shared Services) to drive value creation through financial and business leadership from strategy development through execution in order to identify prospective markets and potential opportunities. **What You Will Do**
+ Manages a team of financial analysts who will provide functional support to business units ensuring financial best practices are implemented and followed, reported, and analyzed to identify insights for decision making
+ Leverages the Financial Centers of Expertise to provide financial insights to aid in decision making, identification of financial risks and opportunities, and analysis of performance drivers.
+ Partners with senior leadership (SVPs & VPs) in the business functional areas to provide financial insights, recommendations, and best practices to help the company make effective resource allocation decisions.
+ Prepares and communicates certain deliverables to senior management and the Board of Directors relating to the portfolio, guardrails, long-range plan and annual operating plan, linking strategy and intent to financial outcomes and measures of success.
+ Researches issues as identified, reports findings, suggests alternative courses of action, and constantly look for process improvements.
+ Guides the business units through the financial planning and forecasting processes, leveraging the appropriate data elements for markets and for the industry to support the evaluation of strategic options and alternatives.
+ Coordinates with other areas of Finance to ensure projected financial outcomes resulting from business plans are properly planned and forecasted.
+ Responsible for selecting, hiring, and developing talent to ensure a productive and engaged workforce.
+ Oversees the building of processes and enterprise score-carding to continuously measure the overall health of Lowe's financial portfolio.
+ Supports the development of the long-range plan (LRP) for the enterprise, containing the aggregation of business unit plans and modeling for "what if scenario analyses at the enterprise.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree Business, Finance, Accounting or related field and 5-7 Years Experience in finance or analytical role
+ 1-2 Years Experience in strategic and financial modeling
+ 3-5 Years Experience leading people directly or indirectly
+ Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
**Preferred Skills/Education**

Job Description

TIAA's Corporate Controller group is looking for a Senior Manager for the Statutory Financial Reporting team. The Statutory Financial Reporting Team is responsible for regulatory and analytical reporting for the Company's general and separate accounts. This role is responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the team's reporting, both internally and externally.
**Key Responsibilities and Duties**
+ Direct and manage the preparation of the quarterly fluctuation analysis, including accumulating financial support, performing an analytical review of the data, and networking with business partners to gather input into key trends/drivers, and significant changes for each quarter.
+ Direct and manage the preparation of monthly financial statements, including performing and documenting analytical reviews of the results.
+ Manage the preparation and perform review of the annual audited statutory financial statement and the quarterly and annual non-audited statutory financial statement (blue book) footnotes. Ensure their completeness, accuracy, and adherence to the New York Department of Financial Services requirements and Statutory Accounting Principles.
+ Prepare executive level financial reporting for presentation to the quarterly Disclosure Committee, Audit Committee, and Executive Management Team meetings.
+ Manage the completion of various regulatory reports, including the annual Management Discussion and Analysis, estimated GAAP financial statements, and responses to regulatory inquiries.
+ Provide audit support to internal/external auditors and serve as liaison for the external auditors. Maintain a sound internal control environment, create efficiencies and strengthen operating controls. Comply with and maintain all SOX procedures and controls.
+ Keep abreast of all new accounting and reporting regulations and participate in various industry working groups to ensure compliance with statutory accounting principles. Research, interpret and apply accounting guidance and coordinate with the Accounting Policy team to ensure appropriate application of accounting principles.
+ Network with senior personnel to expand knowledge, gain insight, and influence outcomes.

Base Pay Range: $98,700/yr - $141,000/yr
