This position is responsible for the oversight of financial forecasting and reporting of a multi-site Region. Responsible for providing insight and analysis of financial operating results. Identifies trends and provides recommendations for various profitability drivers, involving operations expense management, with a direct focus on inventory shrinkage. **RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Right-hand and primary mentee of the Region VP of Finance
+ Determine the key drivers of margin and expense variances versus plan and last year's results.
+ Identify underperforming customers and make recommendations to drive profitability.
+ Participate in the recruiting, training and management of the Inventory Control Managers, Finance Analysts, and Finance Associates
+ Work with the Inventory team to Identify opportunities to reduce operational and non-operational shrink.
+ Work with the sales team to Identify opportunities to grow volume and margins.
+ Quantify the financial impact of key operational cost control, margin growth, and volume growth initiatives.
+ Will lead various committees on expense reduction and margin growth
+ Assist Region Vice President Finance and Market Vice President Finance with the monthly forecast performance.
+ Ensure overall trends and the impacts of key initiatives are reflected accurately in the forecast.
+ Work with each department to ensure they understand the overall forecast and how the impact of the key initiatives they are responsible for is reflected in the forecast.
+ Assist the Region Vice President Finance with the preparation of the Annual Profit Plan (AOP) on all aspects
+ Individual must champion and be the local expert in Sysco's analytical toolbox.
+ Responsible for the preparation of all capital investment proposals for the Region.
**Education**
+ Bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, engineering, or analytical finance preferred.
+ MBA preferred

Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Act as a lieutenant to the Regional Controller.
+ Support the Regional Controller with the creation of Compass annual budgeting and forecasts.
+ Support the Operations SVP and Area VP(s) on the client budget twisting process.
+ Coordinate the Forecast process and work with the operations team to produce action plans to rectify performance issues.
+ Oversee the monthly close process and work closely with the finance team members and field accounting team to improve it continually.
+ Guide and support the finance team with monthly close ledger and Profit Loss Statement reviews before going final.
Analyze and review weekly and monthly results, working closely with the operational team to gain insight into financial issues.
+ Seek continuous improvements in account profitability by raising the operations team's financial awareness and financial competence.
+ Sound inventory management guidance to Ops and culinary leaders
+ Ensure sound financial control throughout the region and work closely with the Internal Audit Department to ensure:
ICR targets are delivered
+ Loss prevention disciplines are in place (cash handling, timely payment of invoices, inventory, etc.)
+ Ensure that assets are set up correctly by the accounting and capital assets department by ensuring that all invoices are forwarded promptly.
+ Provide client ad-hoc reporting as needed.
+ Review and analyze Compass reporting to confront potential issues proactively.
+ Provide financial evaluation of new business and re-bid proformas, working closely with the operations team to ensure achievable financial goals.
+ Improve the quality of financial review through benchmarking and sensitivity analysis.
Attend Area and regional meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of relevant experience
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
+ Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with business partners, key team members, senior management, and client groups on various projects and initiatives
+ Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills)

**The opportunity**
We are seeking a forward-thinking SAP Senior Manager to join our Technology Consulting team. In this role, you will collaborate with external clients and internal teams, leveraging your expertise in SAP technology to help clients achieve improved outcomes and lasting results. By harnessing our strengths in tax, assurance, transaction and risk, you will implement innovative SAP solutions that meet client needs.
As a Senior Manager in our Technology practice, you will play a pivotal role in interacting with business stakeholders to evaluate and analyze business models, processes, and operations. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure that newly implemented technology solutions meet these requirements. Your collaboration with technical teams will be crucial in designing and delivering effective system architecture solutions.
**Your key responsibilities**
In this role, you will manage and deliver complex processes and solutions while maintaining a strong focus on quality and risk management. You will face challenges that require innovative problem-solving and analytical skills, allowing you to grow your expertise in technology analysis and implementation. Your responsibilities will include:
+ Leading engagement delivery and managing client relationships on a daily basis.
+ Overseeing program/project management and ensuring engagement economics are met.

As a Senior Manager in our SAP Financial Services practice, you will lead a multi-discipline team through an SAP implementation cycle. You will play a critical role in delivering SAP systems and business integration, advising client leadership, and ensuring cohesive, comprehensive solutions are delivered on time and within budget. You will also work with EY leadership to identify and develop new implementation opportunities while mentoring junior team members.

+ Leading the end-to-end delivery of large-scale SAP-enabled Finance Transformation programs.
+ Developing execution strategies aligned with client objectives and project deliverables.
+ Managing risks and project team capacity to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
+ Assisting Finance teams in reimagining their target state through modern technology capabilities.
+ Shaping Finance operating models and introducing advanced digital finance capabilities, focusing on SAP General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank Accounting, Finance Master Data Management, and Allocations.
+ Overseeing solution architecture and vision for transformation programs
+ Managing multiple workstreams, including requirements gathering, system configuration, data integration, historical data conversion, security and controls, change management, training, and reporting.
+ Conducting regular reviews and quality assurance to ensure high-quality delivery
+ Acting as a trusted advisor to senior client leadership, providing industry insights and best practices.
+ Communicating progress, identifying key risks early, developing mitigation plans, and escalating issues as necessary.
+ Mentoring junior team members to cultivate the next generation of SAP technology professionals.
+ Collaborating with global delivery teams on multi-disciplinary business transformations.
+ Working with senior EY leadership to identify new opportunities and solutions for business growth.
+ Strong technical skills in application functional design and technology business requirements definition.
+ Proven ability to analyze and map technology cost-benefit scenarios.
+ Expertise in system configuration design and business architecture frameworks.
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
**To qualify for the role, you must have**
+ A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
+ Over 8 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end SAP Core Finance (FICO modules) implementation.
+ At least 5 years of implementation experience in SAP S/4HANA, covering a minimum of two SAP FICO modules.
+ A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector or comparable industry.
+ Strong knowledge of at least two record-to-report processes (e.g. Record-to-Report, Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Acquire-to-Retire).
+ Experience in process redesign and mapping, preferably within finance.
+ Proven success in a key role during SAP implementations.
+ A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%
**Ideally, you'll also have**
+ Extensive experience in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design.
+ Experience leading data modelling and reporting projects
+ Experience with SAP RISE Migration and S/4HANA conversion (ECC to S/4HANA).
+ Experience implementing AI and next-generation technologies in finance.
+ A post-graduate or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field.
+ Experience in developing sales opportunities.
+ Experience in leading teams and managing change effectively.
+ Strong emotional agility and digital fluency.
+ A knack for building and managing client relationships.

+ We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $171,600 to $92,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is 205,900 to 445,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
