The Opportunity
USAA is seeking a talented Financial Institutions Relationship Manager Senior to manage and provides operational oversight of USAAs external annuity distribution and select technology service providers. Responsible for delivering end-to-end operational, process, and service excellence through ongoing management and oversight of annuity operations, service and technology suppliers. Ensures timely and satisfactory resolution and communication of new business, post issue and service to include escalations, and exceptions.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Tampa, FL, or Plano, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What youll do:
Monitors key distributor satisfaction and performance metrics to understand and apply data driven insights to inform business strategies to achieve business goals and operational efficiencies.
Participates as a subject matter expert on new distributor implementation and launch.
Participates in monthly operations business review meetings supplier and service provider firms to review service level targets, identify business trends and to uncover opportunities to develop operational and business process efficiencies.
Responsible for timely and appropriate resolution of escalations from external distribution partners.
Identifies opportunities to document and facilitate improvements to processes. Assists with developing functional policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Participates in periodic business review meetings with senior executives at distributor and/or supplier and service provider firms to foster relationships and uncover opportunities to develop operational efficiencies.
Responsible for new account implementation and business development with external distributors.
Identifies and manages business operational controls to ensure adherence to appropriate risk level.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
What you have:
Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree. (Total of 10 years of experience without Bachelors Degree)
6 years of experience in annuity product sales, relationship management, and/or annuity operations.
3 years of experience in annuity and/or life insurance distribution through full-service brokerage and bank broker dealer firms.
Excellent relationship management skills and demonstrated ability to influence decisions at all leadership levels.
Subject-matter-expert level of business acumen in the areas of annuity business operations, broker dealer sales processes and paperwork, sales suitability, industry practices and emerging trends required.
High level knowledge of investments, annuities and/or life insurance products.
Strong relationship management skills and demonstrated ability to influence decisions at senior leadership levels.
Strong issue resolution and follow-up skills.
Strong executive-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively navigate and mediate conflict and foster honest dialog.

As a Financial Consulting Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Financial Analysts within HUB Colorado's Employee Benefits practice. You will also be in a client-facing role, providing analytics, financial analysis, and return on investment solutions primarily to self-funded and ASO clients.
You will work with or delegate team members to work with the various EB Sales Executives, Account Executives, and clients to assist with the delivery and presentation of cost management data and associated solutions that provide bottom line impact. You will play a consultative role in large prospect RFP presentations and client renewal presentations where and when appropriate.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Delegate assistance to or directly assist Producers/Account Executives in selling to new accounts by demonstrating HUB analytics, alternative risk, and cost management expertise
+ Train Producers and Account Management team as necessary in applying a basic understanding of our capabilities
+ Directly support or delegate team support to the Producers and Account Management team in finalist meetings
+ Execute marketing efforts focused on sales/retention initiatives - where financial consulting is a key consideration
+ Work with each direct report (Financial Analyst) to establish an agreed upon set of performance goals and individual business plans; work toward implementation protocols with the account teams
+ Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability on a regular basis to Financial Analyst team members so they have an indication of their progress
+ Evaluate team member performance through the appraisal process on an annual basis
+ Recommend changes to processes and work product to ensure HUB's reputation as a quality, service-oriented, and value-added organization
+ Anticipate and adapt to changing business demands - especially in-tune with the evolving changes in various client cost management techniques along with self-funding and other associated programs
+ Measure results against goals and plans for necessary improvements
+ Help manage a book of business (> 100 employees or complex accounts) in tandem with Producers and the Account Executives
+ Support new and existing business by matching client need, cost management solutions, and HUB's unique strategic sales/technology approach
+ Manage carrier/vendor relationships for cost management programs
+ Understand the financial impact of his/her actions on HUB profitability and act accordingly; and apply the same standards in working with clients
+ Recommend/implement processes that increase efficiencies and/or reduce cost

You will work within a multidisciplinary team of professionals on a variety of stimulating engagements (typically 6-7 weeks). This role supports the operations and improvement of federal financial systems by gathering requirements, conducting functional analysis, and developing custom reports. The position also includes delivering user training, monitoring financial data for accuracy, performing A-123 internal control reviews, and supporting compliance with federal policies and Treasury requirements. This position currently requires a remote schedule, with the ability to travel to site as needed. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. Responsibilities:
