Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join a high-performing finance team supporting plant operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for hands-on accounting work, financial data analysis, and collaboration with the on-site plant accountant. You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate reporting, managing accounts payable workflows, and supporting both weekly and month-end close deadlines. This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be able to work Eastern Time hours.
Responsibilities:
- Pull and manipulate financial data from Oracle and Discoverer reports in Excel
- Enter and validate journal entries in Oracle
- Manage the Accounts Payable email inbox and route non-PO invoices for plant-level approval
- Perform cost rolls for materials such as labels and printed paper
- Complete detailed month-end account reconciliations
- Support weekly reporting and month-end close processes
- Work closely with the plant accountant to ensure accurate financial operations
Requirements:
- 47 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or plant environment
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, data manipulation)
- Familiarity with Oracle Discoverer or similar reporting tools
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable processes
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
- Self-starter who thrives in a remote environment
- Must be willing to work standard business hours aligned to the Eastern Time Zone
