**Utilization Review Clinician**
**Monte Nido**
**Remote - EST or CST hours**
**Monte Nido has been delivering treatment for eating disorders for over two decades.** Our programs offer a model of treatment that blends medically sophisticated care with a personalized treatment approach. Our work is grounded in evidence-based strategies for adults and adolescents suffering from eating disorders. We work from a multi-disciplinary treatment team approach while integrating state-of-the-art medical, psychiatric, nutritional, and clinical strategies to provide comprehensive care within an intimate home setting.
The Utilization Review **Clinician** is responsible for conducting daily administrative and professional support that enables claims to be correctly processed and retained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. The specific functions performed by this role are critical in achieving the Revenue Cycle Team's overall responsibilities involving timely billing and account follow-up.
This is a Full Time remote position supporting our virtual programs on East and West coasts.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Complete and manage all authorizations for designated programs & departments including single case agreements, prior authorization, continued stay, change in level of care, discharge, peer-to-peer, and manage denials through all levels of appeal.
2. Support treatment team members & Admissions by discussing services covered by the members benefits and reviewing clinical documentation needed to successfully advocate for our clients.
3. Engage in clinical rounds as an active treatment team member providing payor needs for next review, guidance on level of care recommendations, and feedback on what will be needed for authorization of clinically indicated services.
4. Expectation to provide coverage support across all Admission Hubs and UM Department staff as needed.
5. Responsible for supporting Admissions and program treatment team members in understanding how payors determine medical necessity, documentation needs, auth process, and determination timeline to provide the highest level of advocacy and efficiency possible.
6. Understanding of Medicare medical necessity criteria.
7. Communicates with Revenue Cycle Management and Contracting regarding billing/claims issues and status of single case agreements as needed.
8. Communicates with admissions and programs regarding status of client authorization, potential denials, and potential for private payment.
9. Leverage understanding of medical necessity criteria and current behavioral health insurance landscape in verbal and written communications with payors to maximize our clients' access to care and decrease peer to peer reviews.
10. Follows standardized processes and clinical documentation.
11. Communicates emerging trends with insurance companies to Clinical Director.
12. Contribute to department projects and maintain reporting requirements.
13. Apply understanding of payors medical necessity criteria in communications with payors.
14. Maintain up to date knowledge of parity, payor & market trends, Medicaid and Medicare benefits, plan structure, and medical necessity criteria.
15. Maintain up to date knowledge of all MN programs, treatment innovations, and research.
16. Deliver care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner, sensitive to patient and staff diversity.
**Other Duties and Responsibilities**
1. Attends in-services and educational training as necessary and as assigned.
2. Seeks out learning experiences and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
3. Maintains flexibility and adaptability to expected and unexpected changes in the work environment.
4. Reports incidents, accidents, and occurrences in accordance with policies and procedures.

6. Complies with facility policies and procedures.

8. Performs other tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Master's degree in counseling, social work or an LMSW, LCSW, LICSW, LPC, LMHC, or Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
+ Licensed and currently registered in the state you are working strongly preferred.
+ Available to work 8-4:30pm EST Mon-Fri.
+ A minimum of one year of experience of facility based care and knowledge relating to utilization review methods, insurance authorizations **, Medicare** , **Medicaid** , and managed care preferred.
+ Knowledge of The Joint Commission standards.
+ Knowledge of the Principles and Practices of the discipline.
+ Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards.
+ Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.
+ Working knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.

+ Continuously learns new and existing products through sales aids (features, benefits, fees, etc.) demonstrating positive, can-do attitude and customer first culture.
+ Provide exceptional service delivery to our internal and external customers to resolve account service issues and respond to customer inquiries promptly and effectively.
+ Is knowledgeable about the client's accounts and business with the bank and uses sound judgment with customers and transactions
+ Energetically greet and interact with clients on the bank floor to proactively identify and address client sales and service needs; appropriately convert service requests into sales or referrals
+ Required to approach and engage clients in the branch lobby to demonstrate expertise in digital capabilities and to identify the financial needs of the clients. May require standing 60-70% of the work day
+ Ability to use the various marketing tools and digital technology available in the branch to present product offers and financial solutions to existing and potential clients (e.g. sales wall, tablet, smart phone, workbench, iPads, etc.)
+ Connect clients to the appropriate partners as necessary (e.g. leverage video conference for FA, mortgage specialist, etc.)
+ Take full ownership of clients' problems to resolve client complaints/issues promptly and effectively to ensure complete client satisfaction with resolution
+ Recognize transaction needs of clients, direct them to the alternative self-service channels and provide assistance with self-service as needed
+ Educate clients on self-service capabilities and encourage use of digital service channels (e.g. Online, Mobile, ATM, TCR, Teller Assist Unit, if applicable, etc.)
+ Exercises ownership and ensure all follow-up items are complete or handled off to the appropriate individual(s) and work harmoniously with multiple team members
+ Engage the Citi client by welcoming them with a warm friendly smile, pleasant demeanor, using the client name, whenever possible, and thanking them for doing business with Citi
+ Executes financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable record in daily drawer balancing
+ Listens carefully to the client and willingly assists with any questions or problems the client has
+ Makes sure all needs are met before concluding the transaction, making the client feel his/her time is being valued without being rushed
+ Shows initiative, empathy and proactively prevents and handles problems with clients while assisting other tellers as well
+ Create a warm, welcoming and friendly environment for customers and employees by foster teamwork in the branch to ensure a positive overall customer experience.
+ Effectively executes all service transactions (e.g. deposits, payments, address changes, replacement card orders, disputes, etc.) and sales (including opening accounts, credit cards, etc.) referral routines to deepen client relationships
+ Adheres to and comply with Citibank policies, standards, operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets
**Qualifications:**
+ 1-3 years relevant experience
+ Required Skills:
+ Experience with face-to-face customer service, digital engagement and basic sales/referrals
+ Open, client service orientation and desire to help customers is required
+ Sales experience desired
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Analytical and problem solving skills
+ Basic computer and digital tools skills
+ Preferred Skills: Retail experience
+ Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred
