We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join our front-of-house leadership team in overseeing the restaurant, bar, events, and on-course concessions

What You’ll Do:As the Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of Little Horse Tavern and associated outlets. You’ll be the driving force behind a high-energy, guest-focused service team, ensuring seamless execution, attention to detail, and a welcoming environment at every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily FOH operations for the restaurant, bar, events, and concessions
- Ensure all service standards are met and exceeded, providing an outstanding guest experience
- Recruit, schedule, train, and coach front-of-house team members
- Collaborate with the sales and culinary teams to execute events and high-volume services
- Act as a hands-on leader, maintaining strong visibility during service and engaging directly with guests
- Oversee daily closeouts, tip reporting, and POS reconciliation

The Food & Beverage and Wine Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day dining and beverage outlets at the club in addition to building and maintaining the Club's Wine List. A successful candidate will have excellent leadership, communication skills, and superior sense of hospitality to ensure all food and beverage operations run smoothly for members and their guests. Managing the team and special activations throughout the restaurants, ensuring the highest quality service, while achieving sales goals and maintaining costs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining all restaurant standards and steps of service, ensuring the
- Hands-on management of the daily operation of the restaurants and bars, including recruiting, scheduling, training, daily lineup ,and supervision of all staff

Description of Role:
The F&B Manager will work closely with the F&B Director in executing day-to-day FOH operations and creating memorable dining experiences for our members and guests. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Manager to help lead and elevate our service standards across all dining and event venues.
Position Overview
The Food & Beverage Manager plays a key leadership role in delivering the exceptional member experience that Montclair Golf Club is known for. This hands-on position oversees all Front-of-House operations across the Club's dining outlets, event spaces, and seasonal venues.
Working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, the F&B Manager will uphold and implement service standards, manage staffing and training, and ensure that every interaction reflects the club's commitment to excellence. This role requires strong attention to detail, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to lead and inspire a high-performing service team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day FOH operations including dining rooms, bar/lounge, terrace and banquet/event service
- Collaborate with the Events Manager to plan and execute private events and club functions
- Implement and uphold club service standards and operating procedures
- Supervise and develop service staff through coaching, training, and daily pre-shift meetings
- Create and manage staff schedules in alignment with service levels and labor goals
- Serve as Manager-on-Duty during key service periods and special events
- Ensure all service areas are clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
- Support BEO execution and coordinate logistics with kitchen and events team
- Process payroll and maintain accurate labor reporting
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff training
- Open and close dining facilities according to club protocols
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and other department heads to ensure a seamless member experience
The ideal candidate is a polished and professional hospitality leader with a strong service mindset and proven leadership skills. They are detail-oriented, forward-thinking, and able to foster a culture of excellence among their team. A genuine passion for private club hospitality and member engagement is essential.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of food & beverage management experience; private club or upscale resort experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of a la carte and banquet service operations
- Ability to manage staffing, labor costs, and department budgets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with POS and club management systems (Jonas/ClubEssential) is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong understanding of service etiquette and guest relations
- Proven ability to train and develop service teams
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including extended hours during peak seasons
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, hot, and occasionally outdoor environments
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Promote a safe and respectful work environment
- Enforce club policies and uphold Montclair Golf Club's reputation for excellence
- Provide mentorship and support to all front-of-house staff

Key Accountabilities
- Manage everyday activity, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers
- Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues
- Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect
- Recommend or initiate any HR related actions where needed
- Make sure all food and beverage equipment is in operational condition and regularly cleaned
- Make sure all food and beverage facilities including banquet/convention spaces are clean and properly stocked to anticipated business volume. Notify engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs
- Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals. Help guests with their requests and complaints - making sure you maintain a high level of guest satisfaction
- Manage hotel food and beverage marketing programmes and participate in and maintain system-wide food and beverage marketing programmes and promotions
- Keep an eye on competitor activity / industry innovation. Review and approve menu design and concepts with Executive Chef
- Make sure food and drinks are secure and stored safely - always keep stock replenished to minimise waste
- Handle food and beverage inventory procedures. Determine minimum and maximum stocks for all food, beverage, material, and equipment
- Other ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done
- Help prepare the hotel's annual budget and the setting of departmental goals
- Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on food, beverage, and labour costs

Accountabilities
This is the top food and beverage job in the hotel. Supervising a large number of team members in one or two food and beverage outlets, kitchens, and may include banquet facilities that cater to 500 people or less. May oversee one or more subordinate managers or supervisors.
Key Skills & Experiences
- Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management
- 2 years of related experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field preferred
- Must speak local language
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card, as required by local law
