The Physician will supervise the clinical activities of allied health professionals and advanced practice professionals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

2. Oversees Fellow scheduling, including clinical rotations, didactic sessions, and orientation activities.
3. Collaborates with Associate Department Administrators and Practice Managers to develop clinical templates and ensure appropriate scheduling of APP Fellows.
4. Develops, coordinates, and delivers Fellowship didactic content, including curriculum planning, speaker scheduling, and direct teaching.

Minimum of four (4) years of clinical experience as a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in a hospital or ambulatory care setting of significant size and complexity.
At least two (2) years of experience serving as a preceptor or mentor to new graduate NPs or PAs.
AND Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or doctoral degree preferred; candidates without a terminal degree must be willing to obtain one within three (3) years of hire.

- Coordinates the multidisciplinary care delivered to their panel of patients, to optimize patient care.
- Reviews patient medical records to diagnose, treat, and provide care management and education to patients and families.
- Makes appropriate patient referrals.
- Monitors national health guidelines and those established by JPS Health Network and Acclaim Multispecialty Group for the management of patient care.
- Provides evidence-based and compassionate care to all patients as assigned to improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction scores. Demonstrates patient centered and patient valued behavior.
- Maintains a collaborative environment with other referring physicians, residents, medical students, advanced practice professionals, staff, and support staff to provide quality patient care.
- Supports academic, educational and research endeavors.
- Supervises Advanced Practice Professionals.
- Attends Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings; and is an active participant in the process.
