Position Summary

ChesPenn Health Services is seeking an experienced, patient-focused Family Medicine Physician to provide primary care to adults and children at our Federally Qualified Health Center in Chester, PA.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine. Satisfactory completion of an approved residency program in stated specialty.
  • Experience in ambulatory primary care, community health preferred.
  • Unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license. Board eligibility in specialty required, Board Certification is preferred.
  • DEA Certification.
  • Current COVID-19 and flu vaccine required.

Scope of responsibilities:

Clinical:

  • Provide well care for patients as it applies to routine and screening physical examinations.
  • Manage acute and chronic illnesses in an ambulatory environment.
  • Perform follow-up examinations on patients referred to medical specialists.
  • Educate patients in regard to health and education and the need for continued medical care.
  • Work cooperatively with other professionals and paraprofessionals including registered nurses, medical technicians, medical office assistants, and medical records clerks.
  • Act as supervising physician for nurse practitioners and physician assistants of the health center.
  • Provide emergency telephone coverage according to rotation schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information about patients and their families.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor towards patients, staff, members and guests of ChesPenn
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Productivity:

  • Maintain a high productivity level based on BPHC grant standards, with respect to the total number of patients to which professional services are rendered, annual patient encounters, and annual visits per patient.

Record-keeping / Administration:

  • Maintain and update patient records appropriately in Electronic Medical Record
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with community agencies and area hospitals.
  • Conduct or lead medical and community health projects as requested.
  • Participate in the development of the annual medical health care plan.
  • Consistently participate in continuing medical education activities.

Summary

Education

Board Certified to practice medicine in the state of Alabama.

Experience

  7. Admit patients of the Nurse Practitioner and provide medical care or refer them to other facilities.
  8. Participates in Patient-Centered Medical Home Care Team collaboration to promote and nurture the culture and infrastructure that makes PCMH successful.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

This position requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination for easy and skillful use of hands when working with and performing normal office duties and responsibilities. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, climb balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach with hands and arms. Good hearing is necessary to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine sound discriminations. Visual acuity is needed to assess color changes, verify written materials' accuracy, and accurately prepare and administer medications.

Language Skills/Specialized Skills

  1. Ability to read, speak effectively, analyze, and interpret documents such as policies and procedures manual, safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and government regulations.

In addition to providing the highest quality of care, Riverside offers its patients the best hours of operation of any private practice in the country. Patients have around-the-clock access to a health-care team and have the benefit of same day and walk in appointments. As an advocate for prenatal health and education, Riverside offers prenatal classes every weekend free of charge. Riverside believes in giving back to their community and the patients they serve through health fairs, charitable giving/foundation, and free medical education.
As a part of the OptumCare network, Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team in New Jersey.
**Schedule** : M-F availability 8am - 8pm. One or two 12-8 shifts. Rest of week 8-4 or 8:30-4:30. Busy Primary Care office.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment
+ Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG's
+ Administer injections and collect specimens
+ Document patient care using electronic medical record software
+ Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork as needed
+ Assist physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants with minor, in-office procedures

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Medical Assistant certification
+ Front desk and MA experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with Epic EMR
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $6.00 to 27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable
