The Division of Hospitalist and General Internal Medicineat the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a fulltime General Internal Medicine physician to serve at the University of Maryland Midtown Health Center, an ambulatory academic practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center-Midtown Campus (UMMC- MTC). Clinical responsibilities will include managing a panel of patients in primary care as well as participating in call coverage with other members of the team. The successful candidate will practice with a multi-disciplinary approach alongside other service providers to optimize patient experiences and outcomes. This position will also provide educational supervision and oversight to medical students and residents, as the site serves as the ambulatory continuity practice for the UMMC-MTC Internal Medicine residency program. Finally, this position will engage in community outreach and patient education as well as participate in service projects to increase visibility andbenefit to the community. Expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $171,493 (min) and $267,554 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation programor pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs.Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. The salary range for this role is $230k full time or $172.5k for part time in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or available benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, , 401K, paid time off, and/or other wellness programs). The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location and benefits vary by practice.
