Responsibilities:
- Identify, cultivate, and secure licensing and promotional opportunities across a range of consumer goods and retail platforms.
- Develop and implement a long?term licensing strategy aligned with the Smithsonian Institutions mission, brand, and heritage.
- Leverage an established network of licensing relationships to drive revenue growth and expand the Institutions licensing footprint across North America.
- Serve as the primary liaison between SE and licensees, ensuring quality, brand alignment, and performance accountability.
- Maintain strong knowledge of retail and licensing trends, identifying opportunities for both evergreen and high?exposure campaigns.
- Collaborate with Smithsonian staff, including museums and program offices, to authentically integrate collections and narratives into licensed products.
- Negotiate, review, and manage licensing agreements, including contract terms, royalties, and quality control.
- Develop marketing and promotional strategies for licensed products that reflect the Smithsonians values of authenticity, trust, education, and memorable family experiences.
Qualifications:
- JD and legal experience preferred.
- 5 - 10 years of extensive licensing experience required.
- Passion for mission?driven, heritage?based brand licensing.
- Skilled in contract negotiation, deal structuring, and relationship management.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess licensing and revenue opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance revenue generation with the Smithsonians values and long?term brand stewardship.

The Engagement Manager plays a critical role in setting customers up for Success by prescriptively shaping and then leading the execution of large and transformational engagements at our most strategic customers. The Engagement Manager serves as a trusted advisor to Salesforce customers, providing guidance to Sales & Professional Services teams, ensuring synergies across each customer’s projects, and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. They are Salesforce platform experts who are accountable for ensuring customer success, business value and leading the Salesforce Services team assigned to their account(s) to deliver the expected outcomes of the engagement and are internally and externally recognized as a business contributor, industry and product specialist. Partnered with an Account Partner (Services Salesperson), the Engagement Manager leads both pre and post-sales activities, acting as the Delivery expert across the portfolio of products and engaging other SMEs across the organization to develop and articulate comprehensive implementation proposals. The Engagement Manager will then maintain the executive relationships and act as an escalation point within these engagements in a billable capacity, ensuring tight stakeholder alignment, offering proactive and prescriptive advice resulting in outstanding Customer Success. We are seeking a Technical Consultant to join our Customer Success Public Sector team. In this role, you will be engaging with our customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform. These applications help companies drive digital transformation and competitive differentiation. Your primary responsibility will be to work throughout the entire project life-cycle to define, design, develop and implement custom software solutions using Appian's low-code platform for our commercial clients. This includes working within an agile environment to understand our client's business processes and technical needs, launch new relational data models in production, and developing APIs to integrate with multiple systems. You will also collaborate with client's technical teams and business users as needed throughout the entire software and development life cycle and drive adoption by empowering clients to become self-sufficient with building process applications on their own.
