Patient Care Tech I POSITION SUMMARY Certified nursing assistants and/or nursing service techs are employed to take care of patients' everyday needs.Conducts personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients, as well as brushing teeth and combing hair.Helps patients in and out of bed, often by lifting or carrying them, and assist them with walking.Answers patients' calls for help, take their vital signs, and monitor their behavior and physical condition for progress or deterioration.Works under the supervision of an experienced nurse, and reports any problems or worsening in a patient's condition to the facility staff.Other job requirements may include stocking and keeping storerooms tidy and cleaning patient rooms.OVERVIEWThe evaluation is to assure individual performance, departmental goals and organizational goals are aligned. RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
