**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**
Provide assistance with the collection of non-blood specimens while training in a Phlebotomy certification program.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Assists with patient specimens in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures. (60%)
+ Performs laboratory support duties (e.g., order entry, registration, specimen receiving, etc.) to ensure efficient operations. (20%)

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anesthesiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. There are ample leadership opportunities in our growing practice, and although we don't handle heart surgeries or transplants, we do encounter occasional pediatric cases involving children over 2 years old. Furthermore, our colleagues boast fellowships in OB anesthesia, Peds anesthesia, Pain Management, Critical Care, and Cardiothoracic anesthesia. We typically handle around 300-360 OR cases per month, with fewer than 100 deliveries per month and a labor epidural rate of approximately 80%. Additionally, our off-site areas include MRI, IR, and an endoscopy/bronchoscopy suite, with the endo suite located in the same area as the main ORs. We currently have 6 main ORs and no office anesthesia or freestanding outpatient facility. Our department benefits from three dedicated Biomedical equipment techs, and although some cases are solo without a CRNA or resident, the CRNA ratio is 1:2, and all CRNAs work under supervision. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Opportunity Details:

Qualifications:
- A license to practice Medicine in the State of New York

Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $409,000* (board eligible) ; $19,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated between 656,350** (board eligible) and 669,000** (board certified) which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is 104,000***

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anesthesiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. There are ample leadership opportunities in our growing practice, and although we don't handle heart surgeries or transplants, we do encounter occasional pediatric cases involving children over 2 years old. Furthermore, our colleagues boast fellowships in OB anesthesia, Peds anesthesia, Pain Management, Critical Care, and Cardiothoracic anesthesia. We typically handle around 300-360 OR cases per month, with fewer than 100 deliveries per month and a labor epidural rate of approximately 80%. Additionally, our off-site areas include MRI, IR, and an endoscopy/bronchoscopy suite, with the endo suite located in the same area as the main ORs. We currently have 6 main ORs and no office anesthesia or freestanding outpatient facility. Our department benefits from three dedicated Biomedical equipment techs, and although some cases are solo without a CRNA or resident, the CRNA ratio is 1:2, and all CRNAs work under supervision. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Opportunity Details:
- Determines and prescribes kinds of anesthetics and procedures to be employed in various categories of cases - besides the bread and butter we also serve light pediatrics, obstetric, neuro, orthopedics and plastics
- Advises Anesthetists and Surgeons in cases where age or condition of patient presents unusual or complex problems
- Recommends suitable anesthesia, advises on dosages and consults on post-operative complications
- Reviews case histories and is responsible for all matters pertaining to Anesthesiology
- Lectures to and trains Anesthetists, Residents and auxiliary staff -Daily work includes working with CRNAs, medical students and residents
- Flexible working schedules
Qualifications:
- A license to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- Experience in block placement in upper and lower extremities preferred but not required
- Board eligible or certified in Anesthesiology
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $409,000* (board eligible) ; $19,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated between 656,350** (board eligible) and 669,000** (board certified) which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is 104,000***
- Projected bonus of up to 40,000 (based on previous years average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
- Sign-on bonus up to 20,000

Key Responsibilities
Lead clinical quality and safety efforts across University Health Community Hospitals.

Preferred: Master’s degree in medical management, business administration, or public health.
Demonstrated success in hospital quality, safety, outcomes improvement, accreditation, and clinical leadership.
Prior experience in public hospitals, integrated health systems, or academic health centers is highly desirable.
