Department Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Learning and Development Consultant to join our Chicago Field Office. This role serves as a trusted advisor and partner to leadership, business partners, Owner/Operators, and key stakeholders. The consultant will facilitate best-in-class learning and development programs for diverse learners, including staff, Owner/Operators, restaurant management, and other key roles. As the subject matter expert (SME) in training, learning, and development, you will drive behavioral change that improves business results.
Purpose
+ Change individuals' behavior that improves business results by consulting in training, operational standards and facilitating field training classes.
Duties
In addition to following McDonald's policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Facilitates Learning
+ Conducts training that motivates, builds proficiencies, and improves individual's performance and contribution to restaurant results.
Consulting
+ Demonstrates and reinforces the leadership behaviors that support the McDonald's vision.
+ Serves each customer's requests by helping identify the appropriate resources and interventions to accomplish their objectives most effectively.
+ Provides strategic interventions that helps their market accomplish its objectives.
+ Coaches people on how to measure and improve training results, and how to appropriately diagnose problems and create actions that solve them.
+ Frequently communicates and provides feedback to Field Staff and Owner/Operators regarding the success and opportunities for people development within an organization.
+ Creates a partnership between Owner/Operators, Operations Manager, Consultants, Restaurant Managers, and learners that stimulates transfer of training, return on training investment (ROI), and improves restaurant results.
+ Serves as an operations specialist and consultant on McDonald's operating standards, management tools, and training systems to maximize restaurant QSC&V.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
+ Should reside in Chicago, Indianapolis and Michigan.
+ Willing to travel the geographic areas of Illinois, Indianapolis, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
+ Willingness to travel 75-100%.
+ Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ 2-4+ years of experience in adult education or facilitation.
+ 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or the hospitality industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred.
+ Operational expertise in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry, restaurant operations, or hospitality is a plus.
+ Consulting experience is advantageous.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role $75,700.00- $94,620.00 is per year.
