We expect you to:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field, with experience in the renewable energy industry. Preferences for experience in IPP origination and/or MEP management.
  • A minimum 3 years of experience in leading power equipment applications, construction cost estimation of electrical projects, low voltage/BESS/DERs/EV charging technology, or related electrical solution design experiences

**Description**
We work on a python library that implements a variety of training time and post training quantization algorithms and provides them to developers as simple to use, turnkey APIs, and ensures that these optimizations work seamlessly with the Core ML inference stack and Apple hardware. Our algorithms are implemented using PyTorch. We optimize models across domains, including NLP, vision, text, generative models etc.
In this role, the Model Optimization Engineer will be an expert in understanding the internal workings of PyTorch, graph capturing and graph editing mechanisms, methods to observe and modify intermediate activations and weights, tensor subclasses, custom ops, different types of parallelism for training models, and use this knowledge to implement and update the core infrastructure of the optimization library which enables an efficient and scalable implementation of various classes of compression algorithms. You'll also set up and debug training jobs, datasets, evaluation, performance benchmarking pipelines.
Additionally, you will.
- Design and develop the core infrastructure which powers the implementations of various compression algorithms (training time, post training, data free, calibration data based etc)
- Implement the latest algorithms from research papers for model compression in the optimization library.
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineers, from the ML compiler inference stack, to co-develop new compression operations, and model export flows for on device deployment.
- Design clean, intuitive, maintainable APIs
- Run detailed experiments and ablation studies to profile algorithms on various models and tasks, across different model sizes.
**Minimum Qualifications**

**The Impact You Will Have:**
The **Director of Pre-Development** is primarily responsible for leading and managing the predevelopment activities on a given project(s). The Predevelopment Director will interact and interface on a daily basis with multiple QTS teams, including but not limited to Corporate Real Estate, Investment, Development and Data Center Operations teams.
The Predevelopment Director will become the main interface for key external stakeholders - including local authorities - associated with the projects.
The role requires strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, ability to self-direct, ability to convey and deliver executive narratives, strong background in data center or large scale developments, proven experience in site selection processes, planning & permitting, technical and environmental due diligence, design, engineering and operational requirements.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Coordinate with real estate due diligence efforts on potential or new land banks and properties, including: evaluate opportunities to design & build new data centers by working with key stakeholders: Corporate Real Estate, Connectivity, Power & Construction teams.
+ Develop planning & permit timelines for new properties and data centers. Develop initial target investment budgets on design and construction for new properties.
+ Lead design, planning, and permit activities for key projects as assigned, new greenfields in particular
+ Ensure designs are consistent with QTS approved standards & evaluate areas where standards should be improved
+ Provides leadership, resources, and consultation for design teams for the generation of construction documents for interior environments, promoting adherence to QTS interiors standard design intent and execution
+ Coaches design and construction teams on project documentation and delivery compliance with the company design standards set forth by the QTS Standards Committee
+ Supports continuous improvement of company design standards and drives efficiency of standardized property development deployment
+ Create and communicate updates on development program & project status on a regular basis suitable for executive level reviews. Effectively present information in a manner to support efficient decision making
+ Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams to aid in custom deal solutioning for prospective clients within the applicable schedule and budget for an assigned location
+ Establish and maintain relationships serving as liaison with key QTS stakeholders
+ Create and build relationships that enhance QTS's ability to be a leader in creating the World's Most Valuable Data Center Real Estate
+ Work with the internal development team to enhance project management processes and protocols
+ Assist with special projects as needed
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field or equivalent professional experience
+ Ten or more years of experience in real estate development, with a focus on pre-development , including management of contracts and project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out
+ Experience with Microsoft Office suite (specifically PowerPoint for communicating program updates to executives and Excel to create/maintain site program & individual project budgets)
+ Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
+ Must be a proven team player and solution-oriented problem solver that both fosters and operates well within internal and external team environments
**Preferred**
+ MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field
+ Experience with delivery of mission critical data center facilities

Do you want to manage supplier relationships in the invoice payment lifecycle? Do you consider yourself well-versed in the world of telecom billing reconciliation, Accounts Payable, program management and vendor relationships? If so, the AWS Global Connectivity Infrastructure Development (GCID) Business Operations team at Amazon is looking for an experienced professional to provide support of payment, operations and capacity by managing the invoice to payment lifecycle for our global backbone, interconnect and metro fiber circuits increasing our capability to optimize network cost efficiency around the world.
As part of the Business Operations team, you'll use the levers of process and technology to help our GCID team influence and hold supplier partners accountable.
Key job responsibilities
- Vendor Management - on-boarding new suppliers including sharing of GCID requirements via supplier welcome package and set-up guidance in our approvals and payable systems. Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure invoicing/payment procedures are clearly understood, documented and accurately managed.
- Drive On-Time Payments - Provide ongoing support ensuring timely vendor payments by reviewing & approving invoices, avoiding late fees, resolution of disputes, prompt acceptance of credits, expense monitoring and cross-functional process improvements
- Controllership of Networking Spend - Optimize cost efficiency of the business by reviewing and understanding service level agreements (SLA), keeping vendors aligned to contractual rates, raising and recovering SLA credit requests.
- Maintain Accountability - influence others and hold responsible individuals accountable for issues resolution. Know when to involve the appropriate business partners, when to escalate and who to engage for effective resolution.
A day in the life
You will work closely with supplier partners, AP, Finance and Business Development to ensure AWS network costs are closely tracked, easily understood, and managed YoY.
- You'll be empowered to think big, influence and exercise ownership over your solutions.
- You'll interface with various levels within AWS as well as external vendors, to influence decisions and manage expectations
- You'll be a trusted resource for GCID and will be a key member of a team of innovative program managers to extend impact across the organization.
About the team
Business Operations works closely with global suppliers and internal Amazon teams to provide timely payment support of network services. This includes vendor management and on-boarding, managing billing accounts, payment issue resolution, etc. Business Operations implements cost savings and process enhancing projects, data integrity initiatives and various special projects in support of these efforts.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- 3+ yeas Telecom Expense Management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
