In this role, you will assess individuals' motor, sensory, and functional abilities, designing and implementing personalized treatment plans to enhance their independence and daily living skills. Through targeted therapy sessions, you will strengthen fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional development while partnering with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support.
Key responsibilities include conducting thorough evaluations, maintaining accurate documentation to ensure compliance with professional standards, and providing expert recommendations on adaptive tools and strategies. You will also actively participate in IEP meetings, contribute to collaborative goal-setting, and stay current with industry best practices through ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Certified & Licensed: Must hold Illinois certification with an Occupational Therapy (OT) endorsement and a valid state Occupational Therapy license.
- Educational Background: A minimum of a master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
- Professional Experience: Prior experience in occupational therapy is preferred, particularly in supporting children with diverse abilities.
