**_What Sales contributes to Velocare_**
Sales and Business Development supports Velocare's new revenue growth objectives by moving prospects through the sales pipeline with face-to-face, telephonic, or electronic engagement. As a sales professional in an internal startup, the Sr. Consultant won't be afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty; pick up the phone, cold call, write scripts and manage the sales cycle on their own, end-to-end. The Sr. Consultant also understands they will need to continuously improve the strategy and pitch based on the results they see. The Sr. Consultant will be a critical feedback loop between the customer and the product development team. This role will build and maintain relationships with key decision makers or potential influencers and manage longer sales cycles in a B2B healthcare market.

Customer Service and Retail Duties - Achieves daily profitable sales goal by providing exemplary customer service to include greeting, professional appearance, positive attitude, and approaching the customer, suggestive selling and adding on. Must project the best image of USNA, in addition, must comply with the Public Affairs Office. Receives special order requests from authorized patrons and assists customers if needed. Incumbent prices special order merchandise and notifies customers when special order merchandise is received. Assists customers in locating merchandise throughout the retail stores. Assists in outfitting each new class of midshipmen in the summer of each year and throughout the year as required by directives from higher authority. Incumbents will issue, pack boxes, work issue stations fitting clothing, check-out and processing midshipmen through sales store terminals as required. Completes retail reports and submits to management.
Point of Sales (POS) and Specialized Systems - Operates the point-of-sale terminal verifying that all merchandise is properly scanned, verifies retail price, verifies product information, processes proper type of sale/ return in terminal, properly secures credit card information and delivers receipt to customer. Secures register funds daily, verifying all monies for the day and delivers cash to assigned terminal. At the end of workday, counts/verifies all cash, checks, bank charges, midshipmen charges and deposits same in drop safe per instructions, reconciles accounts.
Inventory - Stocks and maintains the sales floor according to daily sales plan. Stays current with merchandise assortment. Assists management with pricing when needed. When warehouse shipments are received, incumbent will check in merchandise, stock shelves, and assist in the maintaining the visual displays. Performs duties of repacking cartons, labeling cartons with proper counts, working with SKUs, and descriptions of merchandise for transfer to the warehouse and other retail operations. Incumbent also transports packages to / from the warehouse using the department van. Incumbent will also conduct spot inventories as assigned during the year. Supports management during inventory and performs other tasks related to the retail operation within NABSD.
General duties - Maintains housekeeping standards such as dusting, vacuuming, and taking out trash. Provides on the
job training to new sales store clerks as needed. Incumbent may be asked to transfer to another retail location as
needed. Supports the business hours during the week and may include weekend shifts and holidays. Supports the safety
and health program. Promotes employee involvement to identify and eliminate safety/health hazards in order to ensure
an accident-free environment. Supports EEO policies and communicating support of those policies to all coworkers.

As a Torrid Sales Associate, you’ll provide the Torrid Connection to every customer through your genuine ability to make our customer feel comfortable, cared for and confident.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage positive customer connections and loyalty
- Perform register functions while using your sales, promotion and product knowledge to drive add-on sales
- Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of holidays, nights and weekends
- Cover the sales floor and helps ensure all visual standards are met
- Assist in the organization of the stockroom and providing a clean, consistent, and inviting store environment that inspires customers to shop
What You’ll Need:
- Previous sales or customer service experience a plus
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while also being committed to creating an amazing customer experience

Position Overview
As a Sales Solutions Generalist you'll provide each customer with the best experience possible by helping them find and purchase animals, supplies and services. During each interaction, you will discuss the needs of the guest and their pet/s to provide solutions for today, as well as in the future and assist with connecting them with a Specialist when appropriate. You'll work the cash register and ensure that our merchandise is properly stocked and priced, providing an excellent experience for each of our guests. You can excel in this role by exhibiting a passion for the welfare, health, and proper handling of all animals as well as being a positive partner within the whole Pet Care Center team.
Position Responsibilities

- Provide a great experience by engaging with guests utilizing your acquired skills and training.
- Assist guests in the proper selection of merchandise in accordance with their identified needs.

- Process transactions in a way that creates a great experience for each guest.
- Generate future business through a deep understand of the guests and their pet/s.
- Perform related duties in support of the Pet Care Center attaining its assigned sales goals.
- Ensure merchandise is stocked, priced, and displayed to create a great presentation for our guests.
- Completes and applies training programs to maintain a high level of expertise of their role.
- Adhere to established operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Evaluate guest inquiries and as needed refers to the Leader on Duty.

Basic Qualifications
Be able to work successfully within a team. In addition to having a professional appearance and demeanor, applicants must also demonstrate a keen and genuine interest in animals and their care. Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary due to the nature of interaction with the public and other partners and leaders within the store.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience within sales, retail, or related field. Possess a high level of knowledge of pet nutrition and an aptitude for sales techniques.

Work Environment
The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, although merchandise receiving, merchandise carry-outs, or stock balancing will require leaving the store briefly. This position requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise and standing for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and pull 2000 lbs utilizing material handling equipment. Improper use of safety equipment and/or not following proper lifting techniques may pose of risk of injury to customers, pets, and Pet Care Center personnel. Follow all safety precautions and procedures. Must be available for shifts on evenings, weekends and some overnights and holidays.
