At San Mateo County Libraries you can make a difference in our communities through outreach. The San Mateo County Libraries Bookmobile brings library services to residents throughout San Mateo County, including unincorporated coastal communities from Montara to Pescadero, and inland locations in La Honda, Skylonda, and Kings Mountain. The Bookmobile visits area schools and communities with a collection that includes materials for children and adults in English and Spanish. The Bookmobile also regularly supports special events, fairs, etc. throughout the County.
San Mateo County Libraries is looking for a driver for our Bookmobile, a 35' Bluebird bus with seating for one passenger. The driver, along with one other Bookmobile staff, will also offer customer service at all stops. Because of the diversity of the communities we serve, bilingual language skills (Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish) are preferred. The successful candidate must be available to work a schedule that typically includes a combination of day, evening, and regular weekend shifts. The positions are part-time and extra-help and those hired will generally work between 8 and 18 hours per week.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer service-oriented and flexible Library Assistant who is effective in communicating with people from a variety of backgrounds. Experience working in a library, social services, youth development, education, or early childhood setting is also highly preferred.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess a valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement. Passenger endorsement a plus.
- Be flexible with a schedule that includes a combination of day, evening and weekend shifts.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Supports the Cyber Threat Information Sharing Cell (CTISC) by providing expert linguistic and cultural analysis of cybersecurity threats in non-English languages from Central/South America or the Caribbean.
+ Translates and interprets threat information, identifying key trends and patterns, and offering cultural context to improve understanding of regional cybersecurity threats.
+ Analyzes threat data from various sources and collaborates with Threat Intelligence Analysts to develop threat assessments and mitigation strategies.
+ Maintains awareness of linguistic and cultural developments, emerging cybersecurity threats, and contributes to the CTISC's knowledge base.
+ Provides translation capabilities for mission-critical operations, demonstrating a strong grasp of translation techniques, cultural awareness, and regional cybersecurity trends.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ BA/BS degree or 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a degree
+ 4+ years of experience with 2+ years of position relevant experience.
+ Experience in translation, interpretation, or linguistic analysis, with a focus on languages spoken in Central or South America or the Caribbean.
+ Must possess fluency in either Spanish and/or Portuguese.
+ Experience with conducting research and analysis of information in a foreign language.
+ Language proficiency certifications (e.g., ACTFL, ILR) for the relevant language(s).
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Experience working in a cybersecurity or intelligence environment. Experience with threat intelligence analysis or cybersecurity operations.
+ Familiarity with Cybersecurity Frameworks and standards.
+ Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
+ Threat intelligence certifications (e.g., Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA)).
+ Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

This position is contingent on Contract Award. The position will be based in Arizona.
This position will support foreign language and human intelligence training initiatives. To be eligible for this position the selectees will need to be fluent orally and in written documentation in one of the following languages: Russian, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, or Farsi. Other languages will be considered.
- Selectees must conduct communications in Basic English, and meet oral, written, and conversational grammar.
- Portray Human Intelligence and Confidential Informant source in a variety of role-playing scenarios.
- Convincingly portray assigned role in situational and field training exercises and tests.
- Memorize critical data for assigned roles.
- Realistically, accurately and convincingly portray foreign-language role players.
- Support HSEEP compliant exercise documentation and evaluations.
- Assess and regularly reassess the scope and impact of incidents (local, regional, national).
- Maintain strong situational awareness of internal and external factors (such as weather), planned events, and emergency incidents.
- Conduct an overall assessment of hazards, risks, and impacts.

- Knowledge regarding the completion of FEMA ICS forms.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills and good analysis capabilities.
- Communications must be compliant with ICS and NIMS guidelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledgeable of all current social media platforms.
- A project management background.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
