Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including order processing, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
- Plan and track the shipment of products according to customer requirements and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation for shipping, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve any logistical issues or delays.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to optimize routes, track shipments, and manage inventory levels.
- Monitor and analyze logistical performance data, identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and freight forwarders to secure cost-effective shipping solutions.
- Assist in the management of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to shipments and deliveries, providing timely updates and solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with logistics partners and vendors.
- Implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce transit times, and minimize shipping errors.
- Participate in regular inventory audits and reconciliation processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and procedures.
- Prepare reports on logistics activities, costs, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a logistics, supply chain, or warehousing role.
- Strong understanding of logistics principles, transportation methods, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in logistics software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are a plus.
