The Operations Supervisor provides direction at a single location, leading staff to ensure customer requirements are achieved while meeting our Penske goals and objectives.
In this role, Operations Supervisors will be bonus eligible based on their performance and location performance. Operations Supervisor could earn up to 12% of their base for Max Performance.
**Position Summary:**
Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities including, loading/unloading of trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. Supervise most processes directly including workforce and equipment scheduling. Responsible for making corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level. + Manage, coach, and develop a team of Supply Chain Modelers
+ Drive tactical-to-strategic decision-making with predictive/prescriptive analytics, advanced supply chain modeling, using optimization, and simulation technologies
+ Develop and maintain the governed ecosystem of supply chain models
+ Collaborate with internal SCP&A and Logistics teams; partner cross-functionally with supply chain operations, strategic sourcing, logistics operations, stores, finance, merchandise planning, and technology teams to ensure alignment and continuous improvement across the broader supply chain

Qualifications
+ 4-6+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management with a strong focus on data analytics; 2+ years of manager-level experience (or equivalent)
+ Proficient in SQL for data analysis, including querying and manipulating large datasets, with a strong understanding of database structures, data management principles, and database design
+ Expertise in visualization tools (ex: Tableau, Power BI)
+ Familiarity with Python for data manipulation and advanced analytics tasks
+ Experience with supply chain management/optimization software, large databases, logistics management applications, and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
+ Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory planning, and demand forecasting
+ Exceptional analytical, statistical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field (required)

SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Application Analyst is an individual contributor position on the Supply Chain Planning and Analytics team, responsible for being the subject matter expert on key transportation management systems and supporting analytics vendor relationships. This role supports the transportation operations teams, and the technology development teams, requiring a deep understanding of logistics processes and the ability to efficiently translate operational needs into technical requirements. In addition, this role analyzes the productivity of the current application landscape and both internal and external support structure, enabling leaders to provide recommendations improvement opportunities

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with transportation operations teams to catalog how enterprise transportation applications function within operational processes, including the applications strengths and opportunities
• Support the transportation operations teams by translating operational pain points, requests, or needs into technical requirements
• Own the management of minor system projects, keeping the vendor, VS IT Teams, and VS Ops Teams focused and aligned
• Execute steady state configuration changes and updates within the system to meet business objectives
• Spearhead the system testing process on behalf of the business, include tasks such as defining the test cases and data requirements, developing testing scripts, organizing progress and defect communications, and executing the testing
• Manage the utilization and continuous improvement of Supply Chain Planning and Analytics Jira board
• Act as the "trusted advisor" for business operations teams, assisting with any system related SOP creation, associate training, recommendations for new opportunities
• Analyzes application and analytics landscape, identifying opportunities to streamline, standardize, or enhance cross-functional collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, data science, engineering, or equivalent work experience
• 2-4 years of transportation or distribution operations experience in high volume, fast paced seasonal or heavily promoted businesses (retail or consumer goods) is preferred
• Experience executing user acceptance testing of supply chain systems
• Ability to communicate effectively with both operational and technical associates
• Comfortable contributing in large project settings with many levels of leadership in attendance
• Passion for challenging the status quo and leading process optimization analysis with a technology focused lens
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success working with and influencing team members to achieve goals
• Expertise using Microsoft applications
• Understanding of relational database design, data normalization, and SQL
• Basic understanding of the role data integration processes and tools such as EDI and API have within the transportation application landscape preferred
