The Operations Supervisor provides direction at a single location, leading staff to ensure customer requirements are achieved while meeting our Penske goals and objectives.

Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities including driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. Supervises most processes directly including people, systems, customer needs, equipment, etc. workforce and equipment scheduling. Responsible for performance management of direct reports. making corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level. Involved in the hiring process and customer meetings as necessary.
**Major Responsibilities:**
People
- Establish and sustain that all supervisors and associates are trained and competent and understand how their work relates to the customers' business objectives
- Establish and sustain that performance standards are communicated that are specific and measurable
- Interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance standards and provide coaching and counseling to associates
- Motivate and engage associates by focusing on team accomplishments and recognition
Operations
- Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control
- Conduct team meetings
- Evaluate and recommend changes in preferred work methods to increase productivity of dispatch operations. Assist in new associate training
- Provide relief coverage for operational duties when associates utilize time-off or are absent from the shift
- Have a thorough working knowledge of the site's operating systems in order to ensure operational compliance and correct exception resolution
- Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion
Finance
- Ensure compliance with financial policies & procedures such as tracking MPG, returns, damages, etc.
- Understand the relationship between decision-making and profitability
- Closely manage associates' working hours and activities to minimize overtime and to meet or exceed productivity targets
Safety
- Ensure day-to-day management and associate activities are aligned with the location safety strategy
- Provide associates with communication, training, feedback, and direction to ensure safe performance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures
- Conduct safety observations
Growth / Customer Experience
- Understand the location-specific customer goals & objectives and work to meet and exceed these expectations daily
- Ensure the customer knows that we are committed to helping them meet their objectives
- Determine areas that could benefit from Continuous Improvement efforts
Fleet/Assets
- Properly plan work assignments to ensure effective use of fleet equipment
- Work with hourly associates to ensure they understand safe and efficient operation of equipment

- Work with Penske Truck Leasing to ensure schedule of preventative maintenance is complete

Job Scope

In summary, as the Supply Chain Manager, you will:
- Work closely with the Customer Service team in Costa Rica in order to meet the demand of the Polyurethanes (PU) Division (~100 active accounts with ~230 orders/month) and Performance Products (PP) Division (~79 active accounts with ~120 orders/month) in the region.
- Effectively manage the PU Division (53 MMlbs of sales with a local inventory of 4.5 MMlbs stored in four warehouses), PP Division (20 MMlbs of sales with a local inventory of 1 MMlbs stored in two third party warehouses) supply chain in Mexico and PU Division (8MMlbs of sales and local inventory of 3MMlbs in Cartagenas site) in Colombia.
- Effectively manage the PU Division Logistics capability (transfers of material into the Country from Geismar, LA USA manufacturing, as well as other locations, such as Mississauga, ON Canada, and transfers of materials to local customers).
- Manage the tote and drum blending for Mexico, with Production of ~65 tons/month of polyol blends and repackaging.
- Manage the exports of finished goods from Cartagena, Colombia to customers in South and Central America such as Guatemala, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, etc.
- Tours in EHS focus.
- Support and ensure compliance in safety activities such as review, and approval of work permits for contractors supervision of on-site work performed by both contractors and Huntsman associates.

Your expertise in SAP, inventory control, processes for import / export transactions in alignment with U.S. Government laws, rules, regulations, and Thales internal policies and logistics processes will be vital in optimizing warehouse operations.
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility
• Lead high-priority shipments, audits, and inventory control initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex logistics issues and improve workflows.
• Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to streamline logistics operations.
• Support international trade operations by preparing documentation, coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders, tracking shipments, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to trade compliance efforts through data entry, HTS code validation, customs valuation, recordkeeping, and assistance with audits and reporting.
• Oversee the training and development of LR4 and LR5 team members, serving as a mentor and leader.
• Manage and direct cycle counting programs, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance.
• Handle escalations related to logistics challenges and coordinate with management to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide reports and data analysis to support warehouse efficiency and KPIs.
• Must be willing to work in any area in Materials as necessary.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4+ years of SAP experience with in-depth knowledge of logistics functions.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, shipping & receiving, customs support and logistics management.
• Advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jacks as required
• Experienced with U.S. Customs and Foreign Trade Regulations, as well as import/export documentation and trade terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven track record of leading process improvement projects.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in managing cross-functional projects.
• Familiarity with import/export documentation and trade terminology.
• Experienced with HTS classification, international shipping platforms, and working with U.S. Customs brokers or freight forwarders

Qualifications:
The Hiring Manager (HM) wants an individual with an understanding of customs and compliance regulations. The focus will be more on record keeping and data monitoring. Good communication skills are required.
