**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team. This role involves assembling fabricated parts, testing and calibrating components, and ensuring all products meet quality and performance standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Assemble units at floor stations using hand and power tools.
+ Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet product specifications and tolerances.

**Job Description**
Join a leading manufacturer and distributor of solar trackers and structures for solar panels as a Machine Operator. You will be responsible for forming metal by cutting and pressing it to specifications, contributing to the construction of solar panel structures. Your role may involve operating a band saw, press stamping machine, or punch press.
**Must Haves**
+ Operate machinery such as **band saws, press stamping machines, and punch presses** .
+ Cut and press metal according to blueprints to build solar panel structures.
+ Move parts constantly while performing repetitious processes to ensure smooth production flow.
+ Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently.
+ Work collaboratively with assemblers, plasma cutters, and other fabrication teams.
**Essential Skills**
+ Mechanical inclination and experience as a machine operator.
+ Proficiency in operating machinery with steel, including band saws, punch presses, and press stamping machines.
+ Experience working with hand and power tools.
+ Ability to work in non-climate controlled environments.
+ Willingness to work 45+ hours across 6+ days a week.
**Work Environment**
The HQ offers a large facility with most areas being open-air and very hot, while the new facility is air-conditioned and cleaner. Collaborate with a team of assemblers, plasma cutters, and forklift operators in a busy fabrication environment. Shifts are available across the week, with 1st shift from 6:00am to 2:00pm, 2nd shift from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, and 3rd shift from 10:00pm to 6:00am, each including a 30-minute break.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
