Job Description:

Under minimal supervision, coordinates and supervises quality technical programs at a technical college. Plans and organizes the unit's work to meet the technical college's objectives. Directs the division's academic services. Promotes the instructional programs to public and private organizations. Reviews and approves all requests for supplies and materials. Manages and oversees the division's financial/budget operations. Represents the department at various internal and external meetings. Supervises subordinate employees, setting the example of accountability for goals and outcomes. May perform all teaching duties as described in the job description for instructors. Essential functions include planning, directing, operational supervision, program innovation and budgeting for the Engineering Construction Manufacturing and Design Division.

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Composite Manufacturing Design Engineer for the following, but not limited to:
+ Designing and developing composite components, creating detailed 3D models, and preparing 2D engineering documentation to support manufacturing and customer requirements
+ Design and develop new tooling to meet strict, complex part requirements using GD&T principles for all processes utilized to manufacture CMCs
+ Establish and follow best design practices for materials, dimensions, tolerances, work holding and all aspects of tooling for prototyping, low-volume production, and high-volume production of CMC components
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with cross functional team, ensuring alignment on project requirements and expectations
+ Analyze and solve design and manufacturing issues to improve efficiency and product quality
+ Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in composite manufacturing to enhance design and production processes
+ Actively participating in Engineering definition reviews, approvals, and release processes to drive design for manufacturing (DFM)
