Schneider Electric's Oxford, OH plant has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Manufacturing Manager. You will be primarily accountable for overseeing the implementation of safety programs, manufacturing schedules, personnel, quality control, and production standards.
What will you do?
- Plan, manage, lead, and engage in daily production operations to achieve the key performance indicators (safety, on time delivery, quality, and productivity)
- Promote and implement ergonomic principles, environmental responsibility and overall employee health and wellness
- Provide world-class service to internal and external customers
- Reports to Plant Manager and directly leads a team of front-line supervisors with an indirect scope of hourly workforce
- Lead efforts to attain internal certification goals, ISO requirements, and total customer satisfaction
- Coach, mentor and develop all direct reports
- Ensure compliance with all quality systems to achieve the required quality levels
- Manage performance of assigned resources (material, methods, labor, machines)
- Participate in the development of the Master Production Schedule
- Champion Lean Manufacturing Initiatives (Schneider Performance System) to drive continuous improvement throughout the plant.
- Be responsible for people management including goal setting, performance management, competency development, recognition, engagement, and well-being.
- Define training goals according to competencies and targets
- Lead change management in accordance with business and plant objectives
- Promote collaboration, diversity and inclusion within the plant and the organization
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of programs which support manufacturing strategies & Goals.
- Plant Manager
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in management and leadership in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with P&L responsibility
- Solid understanding of OSHA guidelines and leading a strong safety culture
- Experience in the application of Lean Manufacturing methodologies, certification a plus
- Excellent PC/Tablet and system knowledge, including the ability to analyze data within an MRP system, cloud-based platforms (Tableau/AVEVA) and make effective assumptions to drive business results
- Ability to drive Employee Engagement through leadership, communication, and building respect at all levels of the organization
- Strong skills: organizational, analytical, results driven, communication at all levels, and ability to drive continuous improvement
- Flexible and available to work on off shifts
- ISO experience is a plus

- Sets-up and operates equipment, including tooling and controls.
- Makes necessary gauge adjustments and settings.
- Selects proper raw stocks and checks against blueprint specifications.
- Segregates, sorts, and disposes of scrap and writes scrap tickets.
- Counts, reports and records production.
- Transports material and changes truck batteries within acceptable limits.
- Maintains quality and productivity standards.
- Obtains and epoxy wraps busway according to specifications utilizing all necessary tools and equipment to perform the job.
- Coats surfaces of manufactured and purchased articles or equipment with finishing or protective material.
- Uses foampacker.
- Operates hoists.
- Assemble all types of devices, working from blueprints, sketches and other established procedures and data. Alter parts to suit assemblies as required. Inspect, label, pack and identify assemblies as required.
- Processes labels.
- Maintains equipment, including daily cleaning, dusting, tightening bolts, detection of and reporting of abnormal conditions (heat, vibration, noise & leaks).
- Maintains good housekeeping and adheres to plant regulations and safety rules.
- Assist with hanging and removing of parts on the powdercoat line.
- Hanging and removing parts on the paintline.
- Selects, measures, cuts and assembles lumber and crates products as required.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team in Oxford, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in manufacturing operations, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This role will oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining the highest quality standards and promoting a safe work environment.
What will you do?
- Responsible for safety, on-time service, quality, productivity, operator training and flexibility in the group for a variety of
customers. - Manage assembly operations following the Schneider Performance System (SPS) guidelines through the use of SIM and
other lean processes. - Motivate the team as well as collaborate on new ideas and activities to eliminate barriers and exceed goals.
- Drive the Short Interval Management process.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts of the team.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationship across all levels of the organization.
- Utilize lean manufacturing and six sigma skills to address complex process opportunities with simple solutions.
- Identify constraints to achieving goals and collaborate to find and implement effective solutions.
- Pro-actively identify barriers and resolve root cause issues.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.
- Bachlor's Degree preferred
- Have strong leadership skills.
- Have a mechanical aptitude or experience within manufacturing.
- Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
- Have an understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Are punctual/timely.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have apt interpersonal and customer relation skills.
- Proficiency in professional and engineering PC applications.
- Are self-motivated.
- Experienced in problem resolution.
- Are effectively able to utilize time to maintain order schedules.

Propose improvements to department/plant operations through manufacturing engineering analysis of existing operations compared to future requirements based on capacity, cost reduction, safety and/or risk avoidance opportunities.

This position is a recognized process owner responsible for strategic planning and execution of various manufacturing engineering functions including manufacturing process development and support, product introduction, manufacturing project management of small to medium projects, as well as general manufacturing support and team participation.

These activities and responsibilities also include leadership of continuous improvement initiatives based on performance metrics and will vary depending on the location, and process expertise (machining, fabrication, assembly, etc.).

Review production problems as they are identified and implement solutions.

Develop reports, project briefings and management presentations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent and 16+ years' related experience or Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years' related experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Certain technical skills and training such as CNC programming, CAD layout, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) may be required.

Must be able to lead cross-functional teams, manage medium to large projects, and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.

Requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to support and mentor Process Technicians, Supervisors and others.
