Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Industrial Engineer at a large automotive customer. The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the manufacturing team to optimize our production processes, ensure product quality, and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have experience within the automotive industry, experience with industrial engineering, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and can adapt quickly to changing conditions.
Compensation:
$38-$40/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field
- 5+ years of experience working as an Industrial Engineer with a focus on General Assembly (Production/Launch) specific to Body or Body Structures
- Previous experience working at General Motors utilizing GMOS system (before 2017/2018 when it was released experience using SMBLS is also accepted)
o GMOS: A GM specific tool that is used to specify the routes on a plant floor, and assembling how much time it takes to load up an operation.
o Global Materials Optimization System Excel Sheet
- Experience using AutoCAD and performing plant floor layouts
- Must be comfortable with up to 75% travel to local plants, may require some further travel occasionally to plants within the Midwest - Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience working as an Industrial Engineer with a focus on materials/material flow null

**The Role:**
As a Group Leader in Production, Quality, or Global Supply Chain (GSC), you will be responsible for leading teams of employees or technical personnel to drive operational excellence across manufacturing processes. In this role, you may oversee production activities, quality assurance, inspection, problem-solving, and GM Built-in-Quality initiatives. **Specific physical requirements of the position include the ability to:**
+ Work in a loud manufacturing environment that may not be climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold)
+ Possess good physical stamina and coordination to frequently and repetitively:

+ Lift or carry materials weighing up to 15 lbs. and periodically carry or lift materials weighing up to 40 lbs.

**The Role:**
The Maintenance Group Leader will be responsible for leading a group of skilled, hourly workers to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and processes. This position requires the ongoing application and enforcement of the National and Local UAW Agreements. Candidates must possess technical expertise to oversee and support maintenance operations, exercising independent judgment within the framework of Global Manufacturing Systems, with a focus on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE)
