**PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION** **:**
The primary purpose of the Manufacturing Technician role is to complete production assignments with high quality and timely output in a cellular therapeutic manufacturing environment.
**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS** **:**
Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in related field is preferred. Minimum of high school diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required .
Experience: 0- 1 years of cGMP manufacturing experience is desired or equivalent in work experience or education. Proven experience working on teams where combined contribution, collaboration, and results were expected. Demonstrated proficiency in common computer tools such as word processing, spreadsheet and web-based applications. Experience where attention to detail and personal accountability were critical to success. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, is attentive and approachable. Maintains a professional and productive relationship with area management and co-workers.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Works on routine manufacturing assignments per written procedures, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required .
+ Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and standard operating procedures.
+ Weighs and checks raw materials . Assembles, cleans and sanitizes process equipment, monitors processes.
+ Completes work instructions and maintains clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements.
+ Trains for proficiency in the operation of primary production equipment within the assigned functional area.
+ Trains for proficiency in process systems ( i.e. Syncade MES and Oracle interfaces) and some supporting business systems ( i.e. Oracle, ETQ, BMRAM etc.).
+ Assist with the revision and or creation of process documents, such as SOPs and electronic work instructions.
+ Assists in maintaining material and components inventory level.
+ Supports safe work environment.
+ Work in teams and have continual interaction with members of his/her team as well as other manufacturing teams throughout the production process in order to exchange information regarding the batch(s) in process.
+ Works on assignments that are routine in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.

**WORKING CONDITIONS :**
+ Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment that requires gowning.
+ Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
+ Required to carry and/or lift to 30 pounds several times a day while handling production equipment and/or materials.
+ Required to push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds several times a day while handling production equipment and/or materials
+ Work in areas that may have strong magnets.
+ Work in areas where handling human blood products (Biosafety Level 2) may be required .
+ May work in areas with exposure to vapor phase liquid nitrogen.
+ Must be able to work nights, weekends, mandatory bi-weekly overtime and holidays in a 12-hour shift structure.
Schedule: Thurs, Fri, Sat and every other Wed 5am-5:30pm PST
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $43,050 - $52,200.
plus, incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the geographic location where work is performed. SUMMARY: Ensure all maintenance actions including documentation are carried out in accordance with approved data in an airworthy manner. Additionally, responsible for preliminary, routine and in-process inspections on aircraft and/or components to determine serviceability and airworthiness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Accomplish incoming preliminary inspections on aircraft/components in accordance with customer request cards or manufacturers manuals.
  • Ensure documentation of maintenance performed is as required by FARs, ATS Repair Station Manual and customers Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program ( CAMP ).
  • Accomplish final buy-back of maintenance performed.
  • Accomplish in-progress inspections including clearance-to-close, torque verifications, dimensional checks, rigs, etc.
  • As authorized by ATS and airlines, perform return-to-service and airworthiness releases on serviceable tags, aircraft logbooks, and FAA form 337.
  • Perform audit of ATS facilities for FAR and safety regulation compliance.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • F.A.A. Airframe and Powerplant License Required
  • Three years heavy aircraft maintenance experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by Managers discretion.
  • NDI and previous QC experience highly desirable.
  • Prior supervisory experience highly desirable.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is 31.00- 47.00 hourly (for non-exempt roles), not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.

As an Employee Development Specialist , you will:
Position Responsibilities:

  • Ability to apply knowledge of instructional skills (e.g. preparation, delivery, summary, assess student progress, remediation, motivation, engagement, etc.)
  • Using a variety of media, clearly conveys information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the content.
  • Identifies business specific learning objectives and adapts curriculum content and delivery methods.
  • Identifies potential issues that impact performance and recommends development of improvement recommendations
  • Able to assess requirements and schedule courses and instructors
  • Analyze, validate, optimize and coordinate training requests for new hire, recall, and transfer employees
  • Be able to support off-shift as necessary
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with giving presentations and public speaking
  • 1+ years of experience using reporting tools
  • 3+ years of experience with electrical assembly and/or electronic materials
  • 3+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • 3+ years of experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Job Description

I. BASIC FUNCTIONS

Organize and lead project teams to meet the required goals related to reducing waste and variation in the Achilles manufacturing process. This is a project management-based responsibility with the main intent to reduce variation and waste in the most economical and efficient way possible.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Use techniques like lean manufacturing, lean Six Sigma, and value stream mapping to organize the teams and meet the goals of the projects. This will include attending trainings and seminars and getting certifications in at least Six Sigma green belt.

2. Track and report the progress of each project to the sponsor or black belt regularly. And, create and present reports and presentations to the teams and upper management.

3. Use a standard method of tracking the stages of the projects. The basic method will include defining, measuring, analyzing, implementing, and controlling or a version of this.

4. Analyze the data using statistical tools like Quantum or Minitab to identify the issue and predict the best solution.

5. Follow the prescribed schedule and get the tollgates approved before moving to the next segment of the project.

6. Coordinate the team meetings and facilitate the project timelines and action items to meet the deadlines. This includes being responsible for keeping the teams on track. If the project timelines become overdue or if roadblocks are encountered the sponsor will be informed and a plan will be created to get the project back on track.

7. Make recommendations for the selection of the team members for each project.

8. Evaluate the control stage of the projects to make sure the results are as predicted, if needed perform the analysis, implement, and control steps again. Repeat until the project is completed.

9. Help management identify potential projects, gather the initial data to for selected target projects, help identify the project's intent and goals. This will be needed to complete the scope and fill out the project charter.

10. One of the main goals is to design quality into the solution and not rely on inspection to reduce variation. This will be done by using the various tools in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and other techniques to find the most effective and efficient method for implementation.

11. Propose and champion new equipment or processes that would help Achilles become more efficient and reduce variation and waste. Usually, this will be part of the project process and it will be supported by data.

12. Some of the documents and techniques required are the project scope sheet, project charter sheet, SIPOC, input maps, C& E matrix, FMEA, and the tollgate checklist for each stage.

III. QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training: 4-year Engineering Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other related fields.

Experience: 2-5 years of Manufacturing engineering or related work experience is preferred. Six Sigma, lean manufacturing or other project management training is preferred.

Skills/Aptitude: Effective oral and written communication, computer literate. Mathematical skills, excellent interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions: Office, factory, and laboratory environment. Overnight travel could be required.
