In this role, you will drive innovation in manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient, reliable, and economical production, repair, and overhaul of critical aerospace components. Your expertise will directly support product reliability, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction across a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
**What You'll Do**
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
+ Design, develop, and improve manufacturing and repair processes for aftermarket aerospace products.
+ Conduct tests and measurements to ensure process control and troubleshoot equipment issues.
+ Review failure data, parts usage, and costs to make data-driven recommendations.
+ Define optimum configurations, workscope, and build standards for existing products.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Service Engineering, Repair Engineering, Program Engineering, Technical Advisors, and Miramar Repair Shop) to optimize reliability and reduce costs.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality control systems and procedures throughout the manufacturing process. Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer for a company located in Fort Lauderdale, FL . In this position you will be the first escalation point of contact for testing and programming operations. That will include: Leak Test, Final Run Test, Motor Programming, and Controller Programming.


Salary Range: $90-$97K Yearly.


Manufacturing Test Engineer job responsibilities include:


  • Communicate efficiently with end of line test associates to provide them with quick support to guarantee daily production targets
  • Support proper operation and maintenance of testing and programming equipment on all assembly and support lines
  • Assure accessories used for testing operation are available for immediate replacement if necessary: Thermocouples, control cables, power plugs.
  • Troubleshoot failures of heat pumps and test equipment to locate root cause and provide resolution
  • Report issues and findings using the FPY report. Drive improvements using basic problem-solving techniques
  • Train or assist in training operators of run off stations to ensure tests are being properly performed, help to identify and resolve improvement opportunities and gaps with training
  • Create and update work instructions to reflect current procedures in testing and validate improvement ideas with the test engineer

+ Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for HVAC components and systems.
+ Optimize production workflows, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Lead or support capital projects, equipment installation, acquisition, and production line modifications.
+ Develop new or improving existing manufacturing processes in areas such as: Assembly, Sheet-metal etc.
