We are currently seeking dedicated and environmentally conscious individuals to join our team as Sorters in our advanced recycling plant. As a sorter, you will play a crucial role in the efficient sorting and processing of recyclable materials. Your attention to detail and commitment to environmental sustainability will contribute to the success of our recycling operations. The shift will be 6:30pm-6:30am on a 3-2-2 rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and separate recyclable plastic according to established guidelines or categories.
• Inspect items for contamination or non-recyclable components and remove them from the sorting line.
• Identify and sort different types of recyclable materials based on their characteristics, such as size, shape, color, or composition.
• Operate sorting equipment, such as conveyor belts, screens, optical sorters, or manual sorting stations, to streamline the sorting process.
• Monitor and adjust sorting equipment as needed, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity throughout the sorting process, meeting or exceeding daily sorting targets or quotas.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and communicate any relevant information or updates.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting a safe and clutter-free environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Assist as required in cleaning manufacturing areas and equipment. Assist in maintaining production rooms in a clean, neat and orderly manner.
• Obtain all necessary raw materials from Warehouse personnel. Assist the Manufacturing Leads in verifying that needed raw materials are present and released. Clean outer containers as needed.

• Performing in-process testing as required in the master instructions, and document appropriately. Monitoring the product being processed to assure compliance with all in-process specifications.

• Weighing and documenting yield for all products after completion. Labeling all product containers and reject materials appropriately.

• Transferring completed products to the proper in-process quarantine area or processing area as appropriate.

• Cleaning the manufacturing areas and equipment promptly at the conclusion of each operation. Cleaning hoses used to transfer purified water according to schedule. Sanitizing the floor drains according to schedule.
