  • Constantly communicate with supply chain, quality assurance and engineering managers and departments to ensure smooth and efficient flow of resources throughout the plant. Ensures clear communication of goals and objectives are aligned to promote best services to end customers at all times.
  • Oversee departmental procedures and training.
  • Develop annual projects designed to continuously improve the performance of the operations department.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Select and deliver the correct bulk material/components to manufacturing in a timely manner. Cartons of product are stacked on wooden pallets as directed by the SAP. Pallets are moved using powered tow motors, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or narrow aisle equipment. Orders are brought to the appropriate manufacturing work centers in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)

    Support safety, housekeeping, 5S, and preventative maintenance initiatives as required.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) if applicable.
  • Demonstrate basic safety procedures at work centers, in the Raw Material Warehouse, and in other work areas.
  • Perform battery maintenance as required.
  • Must be qualified to drive powered equipment.
  • Must report and/or correct any unsafe conditions in the Raw Material Warehouse.
  • Must follow Raw Material expectation criteria for covering, banding, wrapping or protecting our inventory.
  • Assist in packing out materials.
  • Communicate any inventory inconsistencies to the Shift Manager or team lead.
  • Positively interact with machine operators, line leads, and other internal customers.
  • Operate a handheld radio frequency (RF) computer terminal to facilitate movement of product and pallets.
  • Assist in the movement of inventory to or from any area or department as required or as requested by supervision. Pull and put-away all orders accurately and completely.
  • Complete all paperwork or electronic data and in a timely manner.
  • Read and understand work order information.
  • Complete Supplier Cost Recovery Form as required and forward to Manufacturing Shift Manager.
  • Adhere to company's policies and procedures.
  • Support the company's culture and values by promoting communication, teamwork, and respectful treatment of all individuals.

**The Role:**
As a Group Leader in Production, Quality, or Global Supply Chain (GSC), you will be responsible for leading teams of employees or technical personnel to drive operational excellence across manufacturing processes. + Review CNC machining and assembly processes to identify process improvements and areas for optimization.
+ Support manufacturing engineers with data analysis, project execution, and problem-solving efforts.
+ Build and configure CNC tool assemblies and associated Tool Sheets to support machining operations.
+ Develop and update manufacturing process work instructions to ensure standardized production methods.
+ Digitize existing CNC machining fixtures by creating 3D SolidWorks models where none currently exist.
+ Design machining and assembly fixtures and processes to improve efficiency and repeatability.
+ Conduct time studies on various manufacturing processes to analyze cycle times and identify improvement opportunities.
+ Support the creation of preventative maintenance procedures and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) checklists to support high machine reliability
+ Facilitate and support Lean/5S events to enhance workplace organization and efficiency
