The Associate Director-Quality - Indianapolis Device Manufacturing Device Quality Control Lab is primarily responsible for quality control oversight of the Device Quality Laboratory.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide leadership of IDM Device Quality Control Lab
+ Mentor, coach and provide feedback to team members and cross-functional partners
+ Ensure an adequate number of qualified resources are available to perform quality control activities in support of IDM QC Lab customers
+ Ensure adherence to the quality policy and objectives for the site
+ Provide technical understanding and internal/external communication (throughout various functions and organization levels) regarding the Quality Management System to ensure on-going management of quality system requirements in order to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement activities
+ Participate in and respond to regulatory agency and self-inspections
+ Review/approve or reject procedures and training, technical protocol and reports, laboratory methods, change proposals, non-conformances and ensure implementation of appropriate corrections/CAPA and effectiveness checks
+ Participate in organizational and business planning activities
+ Exhibit cross-functional influence
+ Identify barriers to productivity within the unit operation and drive continuous improvement
+ Support Method Transfers to Internal Lilly Sites and Contract Manufacturers
+ Provide Management support to the internal Spec Management process in organizational and business planning activities
+ Perform Site QC approval for laboratory investigations
+ Other duties as required
**Basic Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Medical or Life Sciences
+ Minimum of five (5) years industry related experience in areas which may include Quality, Technical Services, and/or Manufacturing

$118,500 - $173,800

The **Senior** **_Manufacturing Engineer_** will join our Hardware Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN. The position is 100% on-site and the work environment will be a hybrid between office environment and industrial manufacturing floor.
**Typical Duties:**
Though this is not a supervisory position, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will guide a team of 5-8 manufacturing engineers through a Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul (MRO) operation & Modernization project of sub-systems of an aeronautical platform. Key capabilities critical to the success of this role and the overall project include having the ability to understand and research military Technical Manuals (TMs), Technical Orders (TOs), and engineering drawings & CAD models; and translating technical details to support metal fabrication and mechanical assembly operations by generating work instructions and resolving production issues through hands-on support. The engineer will assist in process development. Additionally, this role will support engineering activities pertaining to the disposition of defective material and guide Engineering Change Management (ECM) activities of the team through coordination with the Project Lead and Program Manager (PM).
**An example of tasking would be as follows:**
This position may review and approve changes to work instructions; track Engineering Proposals (EPs), Requests for Variances (RFVs), and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and conduct cross-functional coordination with engineering, production scheduling, and quality control for defect resolution and disposition at the in-house component-level fabrication, and the execution and installation of required modifications and upgrades at the assembly-level operations.
**Required Skills:**
+ 10+ Years in a cross-functional engineering role.
+ 5+ years of experience in major assembly operations.
+ 3-5+ years of experience in an industrial metal fabrication environment-including machining of parts from billet, sheet metal fabrication, and mechanical assembly operations with basic familiarity with metals' material properties
+ Experience in technical writing and development of detailed work instructions for assembly and rework operations.
+ Experience using 3D CAD programs _(PTC Creo preferred)_ to create production drawings from model.
+ Familiarity with and ASME Y14-series standards _(including Y14.5 GD&T)_ and experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings.
+ Must be a US Citizen with ability to pass a criminal background check and gain a Secret Security Clearance through the Department of Defense _(possession of an active DoD Secret Clearance preferred)_

+ Familiarity with National Industry Standards such as ASME, ASTM, SAE standards, and MIL-STDs in regard to fabrication, assembly, and testing procedures and requirements _(Ability to Reference, Interpret, and integrate into detailed work instructions)_

+ Maintain cleanliness of the areas by performing routine cleanings/sanitizations.
+ Follows all EHS procedures to ensure one's personal safety and the safety of fellow workers. Position will be involved with the production of radiopharmaceuticals and must follow all radiation safety procedures to maintain safe, acceptable levels as indicated by government guidelines.
+ Work environment consists of a manufacturing facility for the production of radiopharmaceuticals, which must be kept clean, orderly, properly lighted and maintained in optimum operating condition. Employees handle radioactive materials and are exposed to very low amounts of radiation that are deemed safe by current standards. The facility is operated under well-controlled and closely monitored conditions that are regulated by both State and Federal agencies, and that are enforced by the corporate internal quality and regulatory group. Each staff member will receive specific training in keeping radiation exposures within regulatory guidelines and he/she will be routinely monitored for their exposure to radiation. Noise levels are considered low to moderate.

+ Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the painting process. Maintaining high quality standards.
+ Experience in leading and directing workflow and teams.
+ 5+ years of experience with industrial or automotive painting.
+ High school or equivalent, associate degree preferred.
