Manufacturing Supervisor
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Night Shift Supervisor(7pm-7am) to support and oversee the associates and production efforts within the Extrusion Department at our Aiken, SC facility.
Essential Duties:
+ Communicate and enforce standards and expectations for all shift employees.
+ Work effectively to achieve consistency in daily work related activities utilizing Support Team.
+ Hold daily Pre-Shift meetings with associates to cover important Safety, Quality and Productivity information. Maintain a safe working environment throughout the shift.
+ Communicate with existing supervisor regarding any safety incidents, quality issues, changes, problems, or concerns about which knowledge may be needed to run shift.
+ Verify staffing meets current needs. Correspond with employees and communicate assignments as required.
+ Review previous production and quality performance. Ensure current lots are running per specifications, procedures are being followed, and quality markers are correct.
+ Maintain standard work procedures for Supervisors and perform accordingly
+ Help to maintain lab checks are completed and verified on a timely basis. Proactively utilize SPC charts to upkeep 1st quality yarn.
+ Build trusting relationships with employees, through team recognition, coaching, guiding, and acting as a resource on their behalf.
+ Thoroughly communicate with incoming supervisor on any changes made, upcoming changes, special sampling, problem lines, call ins, etc. This includes finalizing the shift report and holding a shift handoff meeting with the incoming supervisor.
+ Understand the department's standard operating procedures and work instructions and assess for compliance.
+ Review and approve associates time in Workforce as well as being knowledgeable of other functions.
+ Troubleshoot process as needed. To include: Buhler system, Process Control System, finish system, maestros and floor pressure monitoring.
+ Hold one-on-ones with each associate on a regular basis to coach and counsel.
+ Conduct a Positive Discipline Program
+ Promote morale throughout the department
Other Duties:
+ Comply with department Work Instruction and Standard Operating Procedures found in SMS manual.
+ Perform all job duties using safe work methods.
+ Comply with corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy.
+ Complies with SAFE System and Shaw Environmental System (SES) procedures.
+ Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Work overtime as needed.
+ Communicate and enforce standards and expectations for all shift associates.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager.
Requirements:
+ High School Diploma/GED required
+ 1+ years of experience in a supervisor role in a supervisory/leadership role in a manufacturing facility
+ Prior leadership experience preferred, especially as a Supervisor or similar role
+ Previous manufacturing experience preferred
+ Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
+ Preferred proficiency in computer programs (Microsoft office, Outlook, CMMS/Work-order systems, etc.)

Shaw's facility in Aiken, SC is currently undergoing a $400 million expansion effort which will create more than 300 new jobs in the region, and will support increased production output of both polymer and fiber for Shaw Industries. The facility currently employs over 600 in the greater Augusta region.
Overview:
The Heatset Manufacturing Supervisor (Night Shift) is responsible for overseeing the associates and production efforts within the Heatset Department.

Essential Duties:
+ Coordinate with outgoing supervisors on ongoing issues that need to be addressed, and work with shift associates and other supervisors to resolve them
+ Coordinate all Line Changes (Setup, Startup, Walk down & EOL according to procedures)
+ Perform special instructions left by Department Manager to be carried out on the shift if needed. This also includes communicating any information concerning Supervisor or shift employees? Check email daily and periodically during the shift.
+ Coordinate with Twisting Department to ensure proper flow of yarn through Heatset Department.
+ Meet with employees during daily pre-shift to cover safety, quality, and other information concerning Heatset Department? Ensure all employee sign off sheets are completed and turned in to Department Manager.
+ Ensure all training is completed following SMS training procedures? Evaluate training with trainers and trainees and document on training check sheets.
+ Complete any necessary change forms to transfer an employee from an assigned shift to another, to move an employee from one job to another. Inform affected employees of any changes in job assignments
+ Attempt to cover open jobs, vacations, or absences on assigned shift through use of call-ins or operators willing to cover from other shifts? Use Voluntary Assignment Form for operators covering each other's job as needed.
+ Complete Workforce timekeeping and address exceptions daily.
+ Ensure the use of first quality yarn by collaborating with Supervisors, Department Managers, or Q.E. personnel.
+ If a yarn mix is found, ensure it is handled according to procedure for mixes.
+ If nonconforming yarn is found, handle according to procedure? Have technicians repair any mechanical problems causing yarn defects.
+ Prepare to work any additional hours on other shifts as needed to work on special assignments as required by Department Manager.
+ Collect all forms from technicians daily and forward to Senior Process Engineer (Heatset).
+ Follow up on Weekly Heatset P.M. Work Orders? Ensure that all forms are completed.
+ Update Heatset Daily Production Report Spreadsheet

Communicate objectives and results to customers, colleagues, and management. Prepare reports, professional papers, and articles for internal publication; Occasionally prepare reports for external publication. Communicate with DOE-SR personnel regarding QA Program and corrective action status.
Enhance expertise in field through leadership in local technical societies. May also participate in technical societies, advanced studies, or consensus standards committees.
Demonstrate commitment to TQ concepts by active participation and successful implementation of Div./ Dept. TQ initiatives.

Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking a CAD Designer responsible for assisting the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Group to perform design and CAD modeling of custom equipment and tooling using 3D parametric CAD software. This candidate will work directly with engineers to determine project scope and limitations and use CAD software to create 3D models (parts and assemblies) and 2D fabrication drawings.
Responsibilities
Major Duties/Responsibilities:

- Works directly with engineers to determine project scope and limitations

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma + 2 yrs of relevant experience
- For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required
- Associates Degree in Engineering Graphics or Industrial Design

CDM Smith is seeking a Project Manager to lead and manage multiple small to large consulting, environmental compliance, design, and design-build Chemical and manufacturing facilities projects for multiple major clients in the domestic United States. This position is part of our Industrial Division, which serves Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Food & Beverage. Metals & Mining, Utility, Manufacturing and other industrial clients. As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM's mission by:
- Managing multiple large complex engineering projects concurrently within the Chemicals, Petrochemicals, and Downstream Oil and Gas sectors from early concept development through detailed design and construction

**Minimum Qualifications:**
Bachelor's Degree. 10 years of related experience. PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list). Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
