Here's How You'll Make Impact:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing and assists in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery, including HVAC, building lighting systems, production line equipment, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance. The position supervises and coordinates the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility, equipment and machinery.

- Develop Root Cause Analysis procedures that will identify either equipment failure, improper usage of equipment, or training opportunities for more effective usage of equipment
- Assign and track work sets for maintenance technicians, Daily log all completed work, and implement Preventative Maintenance logs.
- In first 30 days you will be required to learn equipment sets and how to identify faults and failures.
- In first 60 days you will be required to develop standard work for maintenance technicians and yourself to maintain an efficient schedule of work.
- In the first 90 days you will be required to develop and Preventative Maintenance Program for equipment sets and track these procedures.
- Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery
- Arranges for and manages appropriate third-party contractor support as needed
- Prepares budgets and secures estimates and cost quotes as needed
- Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices
- Developing maintenance procedures and ensuring implementation
- Carrying out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
- Checking electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality
- Complete a high-level assessment of current facility maintenance needs & resources (electrical, plumbing, fire prevention and structural) build a plan to ensure the facility is operating in compliance with all OSHA, DER, ADA and NEC regulations
- Other duties as assigned
- Proven experience as maintenance supervision or other leadership role
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment

- High school diploma/GED required.
- An AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes, workflows, and production lines to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
- Design, develop, and implement optimized production methods, workstation layouts, and material handling systems.
- Conduct time studies, motion studies, and capacity planning to establish accurate labor standards and optimize resource utilization.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma projects, and Kaizen events.
- Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to measure performance, identify bottlenecks, and validate the impact of implemented changes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and product development teams to ensure successful project execution and seamless transitions.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials for production personnel.
- Implement ergonomic improvements to enhance worker safety, reduce fatigue, and prevent injuries.
- Evaluate and recommend new manufacturing technologies, automation solutions, and equipment to improve productivity and quality.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and technical documentation of analyses, recommendations, and project outcomes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and labor efficiency.
- Provide training and mentorship to production supervisors and operators on new processes and lean principles.
- Participate in capital expenditure planning and justification.
- Ensure compliance with all industry standards and internal quality systems.
- Proactively identify and address potential production issues before they impact operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, aerospace, or heavy machinery.
- Strong understanding and practical application of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban).
- Experience with Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt certification preferred).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, statistical software) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for layout design.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
