You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for Missiles and Fire Control (MFC).
**What You Will Be Doing**
Join the Manufacturing Engineering group in the Lockheed Martin Sensor Integration and Test Center. A Manufacturing Engineer will:
- Translate complex engineering blueprints and parts lists into easy to follow, all-encompassing work instructions for the mechanics/assemblers on the production floor.
- You will be tasked with improving the overall process of the build using complex, cutting edge technologies and automation.
- You will exercise your technical background to solve complex problems with troubleshooting and new development of processes for ever changing products being built in our factory.

**Basic Qualifications:**
Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. **Basic Qualifications:**

You will be the Production Floor Manufacturing Engineer for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Microelectronics team. Our team is responsible for supporting the production of Microelectronics assemblies in Orlando, Florida.
**What You Will Be Doing**
As the Production Floor Manufacturing Engineer Staff - Microelectronics, you will be responsible for applying lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields, investigating root cause of failures/defects, and implementing corrective action to support continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Translating complex engineering blueprints and parts lists into easy-to-follow work instructions for the production floor
+ Improving the overall process of the build using complex, cutting-edge technologies and automation
+ Exercising technical background to solve complex problems with troubleshooting and new development of processes for ever-changing products
+ Creating/updating work instructions, manufacturing sketches, and other shop floor documentation to support production needs
+ Coordinating shop floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues

THE WORK
- Work in close collaboration and provide guidance as a Subject Matter Expert to early career engineers solving manufacturing challenges and implementing process improvements.
- Ensure Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team follows consistent ME practices and templates as established, trains team in their use, and ensure consistent and efficient production of team work products.
- Develops strategies to improve metrics performance, helps team solve problems, and summarizes root causes and corrective actions for higher level leadership review
- Be accountable and hold team accountable for cost/ schedule/ technical performance of ME team activities.
- Seek out and evaluate new manufacturing engineering technologies and methods for possible adoption in the factory
- Analyze and interpret electrical, electromechanical, and cable schematics during development and production stages.
- Update and create assembly work instructions for efficient assembly based on the drawings and/or models
- Publish work instructions to the production floor for use during the assembly process.
- Identify and maintain tool lists required for the efficient assembly of the given products.
- Investigate technical problems and provide guidance in support of manufacturing engineers and operators to facilitate assembly performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing failures and help implement corrective action which may include design change recommendations.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing process
- Provide input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
