We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Assistant to ensure the overall production of quality products that meet our company's operational short- and long-term business goals. **Responsibilities**
+ Supervise, engage, and motivate frontline management and team members to adhere to company objectives regarding quality, safety, environment, and information security.
+ Evaluate and monitor operations to meet production and regulatory standards, carrying out corrective actions as needed.
+ Lead the manufacturing process of automotive transmissions and other automotive products to meet 100% of the company's quality standards.
+ Lead manufacturing projects, ensuring adherence to company environmental, health, and safety standards.
+ Support kaizen activities for efficient production equipment improvements.
+ Track and manage Manufacturing KPIs such as plant safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team member morale, taking corrective actions to achieve KPI targets.
+ Check production lines and production control boards, confirming production issues through daily walks to ensure rules and standards are maintained.
+ Motivate staff and maximize their abilities utilizing HR development plans.
**Essential Skills**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Operations Management or 10 years of equivalent manufacturing experience.
+ 3 years or more of management or supervisory experience.
+ Leadership experience leading 5 or more direct reports with teams of 30 to 50.
+ Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as directed.
+ Capability to flexibly respond to changes in the company's direction.
+ Strong leadership track record and understanding of how to lead people.
+ Effective oral and written communication skills.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking eager Engineers for our manufacturing facility in Seguin, TX. This is a two-year manufacturing leadership development program comprised of four six-month rotations that provide cross-departmental exposure. Each rotation can be located at any of our facilities throughout the North American Region (USA, Mexico and Canada), including the possibility for international rotations. The first rotation will start in Seguin, TX. Upon graduation of the program, a permanent position in Seguin, TX is guaranteed.

+ Partner with a mentor who is an experienced professional engineering manager to develop best practices and evolve into a leader at Schaeffler
+ Gain knowledge alongside experts in areas such as production management, quality, supply chain, purchasing, and plant management

**Your Qualifications**

**What you will do:**
+ Audit, validate, and perform root cause analysis and address problems in the assembly planning, tooling, and manufacturing standards, capital expense tooling and equipment and facility layout and digital twin systems
+ Maintain awareness of technological advances in processing, automation of assembly/material movement and/or machine capability. You will use the knowledge to provide input into project assignments.
+ Analyze and investigate shop problems and follow-up on recommendations
+ Assists with more complex issues related to process improvements, capital requirements, developing systems or databases, and equipment and systems integration
+ Design to maintain, improve, and validate manufacturing engineering processes such as process design, facility layout, standardized work instructions, simulations, virtual modeling, test, manufacturing releasing and production order readiness
+ Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties
+ Other duties as assigned
**What you will have:**
+ Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience or a 2-year degree in lieu of experience
+ Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and reviewing 3D models
+ Experience in assembly processes, and best practices, test processes and validation to manufacture products
+ Prior experience with basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth gages)
+ Intermediate experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
**What would make you a top candidate:**
+ Intermediate level proficiency using ERP/PLM systems such as PLEX, Teamcenter, and MAMM system
+ Familiarity using data collection systems such as Quality WorX and Tools Talk
+ Experience with Six Sigma/Lean as either a contributing team member or possessing a Green Belt Certification
+ Experience in quality control within a metal or alloy manufacturing facility
+ Experience with diesel engine assembly experience in a leadership type role (team lead, project lead, lean lead)
+ Ability to be a self-starter, the aptitude to learn, and have attention to detail
