You will be responsible for production scheduling, purchasing, assembly, QA, shipping and receiving. Emphasis on inventory management, process improvement and quality management. Key Responsibilities
- Create production plan to meet sales projections and maintain target inventory levels.
- Collaborate with purchaser, production supervisor and workers to achieve production goals.
- Hire, train and assess the performance of workers.
- Manage issues related to employee attendance, performance, discipline and termination.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of materials to meet production demands.
- Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Focus on cost savings throughout the production process.
- Oversee QA procedures and implementation for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate product launches including sourcing of new materials.
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, business, or engineering (or relevant experience).
- Minimum 5 years experience in electronics manufacturing.
- Proven experience in inventory management, production scheduling and quality management.
- Knowledge of electronic components.
- Experience sourcing from both domestic and import suppliers.
- Experience managing contract manufacturers.
- Familiar with logistics including air, sea freight and import procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent team-building and interpersonal skills.

Job Purpose: To manage and oversee the manufacturing aspects of a designated area or function and achieve continuous and efficient production in desired quantity and quality to meet budgeted requirements.
Examples of Essential Functions:
- Exercises direct supervision over departmental supervisors to achieve production volume, cost and quality of production, and meet production schedules and delivery dates.
- Plans production schedule for the designated manufacturing area in an effort to meet the shipping schedule set by production control. Works with production control to insure parts, process sheets and raw materials are to the department for scheduled start of jobs.
- Accountable for maintaining discipline in accordance with company policy and for maintaining health and safety regulations and their enforcement.
- Participates in the decision making process for improvements to hold down scrap and requirements. Recommends suggestions for process improvement that would improve the efficiency of production and the manufacture of quality products to applicable personnel.
- Coaches supervisors to improve their supervisory skills and improve their training and upgrading skills of operators to improve quality and efficiency.
- Supports the administrative function by providing required paperwork or forms in a timely manner and the maintenance department in the predictive/preventative maintenance program.
- Follows and administers budgets and determined and set by Plant Manager. Prepares reports outlining progress as it pertains to departmental budget guidelines.
- Utilizes the annual evaluation process as a communication tool with employees for goal setting and development programs.

- Accurately document the results of inspections and tests
- Perform inspections of unassembled and finished parts
- Ensure accuracy of data logs and work instructions
- Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures used in the manufacturing and quality control process
- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration
- Perform a variety of clerical duties while being able to multitask and maintain the core competencies of the Quality Control department
- Be familiar with the basic usage of microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and other various inspection equipment
- Assist Engineering with writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists
Do you qualify?
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Associates Degree, technical school, and/or quality experience preferred
- Ability to sit and stand for periods of time
- Ability to abide by the attendance and PTO policies established in the Employee Handbook

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Usual hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., 40 hours per week, overtime may be required as needed.

The normal working hours for this role are anticipated to be Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm. Perform evaluation, refurbishment, assembly, alignment and acceptance testing of automated electro-mechanical biological test systems on an advanced level while maintaining stock levels. Perform production functions safely within regulated environment.
- Perform sub-assembly and final assembly acceptance test operations accurately and timely.
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations of a complicated nature.
- Ensures proper completion of supporting documentation, following GMP guidelines.
- Assist in training of Senior Assembler and other Technicians.
- Perform any other job-related task as assigned by management procedures.
- Ability to conduct advanced test procedures.
- Associate's degree in Electronics discipline plus two (2) years progressively responsible experience as an Electronic Technician, Instrument Manufacturing Technician, or relevant experience.
- High School Diploma/GED with 3 years experience as an Electronic Technician, Instrument Manufacturing Technician, or relevant experience also accepted
- Must possess knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical functions, advanced laws of electricity, microprocessor and analog systems.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and assembly procedures, and perform advanced math is required.
- Requires proficiency in the use of personal computers, excellent troubleshooting skills and analytical skills.
