Manufacturing Technician Essential Job Functions:- Operates and performs advanced adjustments, diagnostic, preventative and emergency electronic/mechanical maintenance on automated high-speed ammunition manufacturing equipment.
- Operates equipment with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) touchscreen panel.

This position is part of ATP, which includes sites located in Independence, MO and in McPherson, KS. Our Independence site is based in an underground industrial complex customized for Fiberglass production. The McPherson site is a metal fabrication and weld shop, in the picturesque setting of America's Heartland. The ATP team is comprised of a diverse group from varying backgrounds, all motivated by an enjoyable and positive work culture. ATP team members primarily support the production of steel and aluminum hatch covers and gates for Wabtec's Freight Components division.

How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Independence-based team, you will be responsible for the general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications, engineering drawings, and quality procedures. You will be cross trained in a variety of tasks, including building products using fiberglass, resins, and hard structural materials. Your training will also include the use of a variety of hand and pneumatic tools. You will report directly to the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Supervisor, as well as the Plant Manager.

As part of our world-class manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in helping us manufacture Commercial and Clinical Biologics, making a real-world impact by contributing to finding cures for cancer, protecting the environment, and ensuring the safety of our food.
Responsibilities
+ Perform cleaning of manufacturing suites to maintain a flawless environment.
+ Assist with the delivery of raw materials and consumables to the manufacturing suites for uninterrupted operations.
+ Ensure timely movement of lines, kits, and assemblies to meet processing needs and prevent delays.
+ Confirm availability of formulations and ensure their movement to the manufacturing suites for production processing needs.
+ Support ancillary tasks on the manufacturing floor such as fit and finish, material stock/supply, and equipment staging.
+ Actively participate in shift exchanges, meetings, and other lean activities to facilitate area needs based on changes.
Essential Skills
+ Production experience required (1-3 years ideally).
+ Inventory experience required.
+ Prefer some GMP knowledge.
+ Computer skills including proficiency in Excel.
+ Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience as an instrument technician at a hospital.
+ Experience in quality assurance/inspection.
+ General warehouse work experience, including inventory or shipping/receiving.
+ Office/clerical work with a computer-oriented focus.

Work Environment
The role requires working in a cleanroom environment, where you must be comfortable wearing a full gowning suit including body suit, gloves, hair and beard nets, face covers, and safety glasses. Gowning materials include Tyvek, Nitrile, and/or Latex gloves. Items such as makeup, jewelry, nail polish, cologne, and perfume are prohibited. You must be able to wear a respirator, lift a minimum of 25 lbs independently, and stand for 80% of the shift. The schedule follows a 3-2-2 pattern from 06:00 to 18:30. Training will occur during the first week from Monday to Friday during business hours.
