The Manufacturing Engineer “MFE” is responsible for overseeing the functionality and efficiency of machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires experience in coordinating, installing, sampling, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. The MFE will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure machinery operates safely, reliably, and efficiently to meet production demands. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot machines to resolve alarms and breakdowns
- Set up machines for new projects and optimize CNC programs and processes
- Sample and qualify new products; define and monitor process parameters
- Lead problem-solving and conduct machine/process capability studies
- Track and report production and quality metrics (e.g., SPC, CpK)
- Train and instruct production and support staff
- Conduct regular shop floor tours to check quality and 6IMS standards
- Support audits and ensure implementation of QMIS and IQI requirements
- Ensure defect traceability and resource availability (equipment, materials, tools)
- Collaborate with suppliers on production, delivery, cost, and quality
- Create and update work instructions and maintenance plans
- Manufacture initial samples and launch serial production
- Adapt programs to meet technical requirements
- Manage machine maintenance and spare parts planning
- Analyze alarms and scrap; implement corrective actions
- Drive production optimization (OEE, scrap reduction)
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance
- Allocate tasks and supervise shop floor staff
- Assist with shift planning and employee placement
- Act as point of contact for technical and organizational matters
- Moderate shift change meetings and support implementation of measures
- Supervise technical apprentices
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and safety policies
- Maintain housekeeping standards (6IMS)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Associate’s or technical degree in engineering, mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Demonstrated ability to train, lead, and manage teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of inch/metric conversions and related measurement equipment.
- Working knowledge of practical statistics for process analysis and improvement.
- Proven background in manufacturing operations; automotive industry experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in at least one CNC technology: Turning, Hobbing, or Cylindrical Grinding (between centers).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong, self-motivated problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Work Environment: Exposure to manufacturing areas (noise, machinery, and moving parts) which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and slip resistant safety toe shoes.
Physical requirements- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing and pulling up to 35 lbs. using material handling equipment
- Constant walking, handling and using fingers
- Frequent standing and reaching outward
- Occasionally reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling and bending

Manufacturing Machine Maintenance (Assembly)

Job overview We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Manufacturing Machine Maitenance to join our on-site team. Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the functionality and efficiency of assembly line machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role plays a key part in supporting production activities that align with business goals.The ideal candidate will be experienced in coordinating, installing, sampling, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure machinery operates safely, reliably, and efficiently to meet production demands.Responsibilities- Maintain and carry out repairs on the assembly lines
- Troubleshooting machines to resolve alarms or breakdowns
- Reporting the daily status of production and quality (SPC, CpK, etc.)
- Instructing and training the production and supporting employees
- Ensure quality testing (QMIS) by participating in audits and ensure that Q-requirements are implemented
- Ensure traceability in case of occurring defects (internal)
- Define process parameters and ensure adherence to parameters
- Ensure availability of resources to carry out production orders (equipment including machines, raw materials and tools)
- Optimize CNC-programs, machining, and setup processes with respect to the machine
- Create and adapt work instructions and maintenance plans
- Implement measures to optimize production figures (e.g. OEE, scrap)
- Manufacturing initial samples, approve and start serial production
- Ensure maintenance and repair as well as keeping machine maintenance history up to date
- Plan spare parts requirements and initiate orders
- Preventative and Predictive Maintenance requirements for normal operation
- Assist with the placement of employees based on actual shift planning
- Following International Automotive Task Force quality standards – IATF 16949.
- Following Internal Quality Issues procedure – IQI.
- Ensure that safety rules and policies are followed.
- Housekeeping – 6IMS-Standard.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Technical or associate’s degree in engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of equivalent work experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
- Computer skills (MS Office) and SAP knowledge preferred
- Experience in sampling and qualifying new tools and processes
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measurement tools
- Ability to train others
- Familiar with inch/metric translation and required measuring equipment
- Practical statistics knowledge
- Manufacturing experience required (assembly)
- Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills throughout all levels
- Strong hands-on problem-solving skills
