Purpose of Role:

Weir ESCO is seeking an experienced and motivated Plant Manager to oversee our fabrication facility in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, ensure production efficiency, maintain quality standards, and lead a team of skilled professionals while nourishing a positive safety-focused culture. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in manufacturing and operations management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to oversee site performance, implement safety and environmental systems, manage budgets and capital expenditures, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve performance targets and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee branch operations, ensuring asset protection, achievement of production and financial goals, performance management through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), continuous improvement initiatives, and effective communication via regular staff meetings.
• Lead SHE Strategy: Implement and oversee Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) strategy, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company requirements. Meet reporting requirements.
• Lead Continuous Improvement Strategy: Develop and implement site CI program and ensure 6S is sustained across site.
• P&L Responsibility: Oversee profit and loss for branch manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with Engineering Lead: Provide technical support and advice on all aspects of operations.
• Facility Capital Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive facility capital plan supported by sound business cases.
• Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with operating requirements as needed.

Qualifications Summary

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Science preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in a heavy industry or fabrication environment is required.
• Must have over five years of experience managing direct reports.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and practices is required.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and project management.
• The ideal candidate will be proficient in the areas of welding, cut tables, and press forming.
• Must be able to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.

This role is responsible for conducting daily production inspections, ensuring adherence to quality control procedures, and providing support to management on quality-related issues. General Description:

The QA/QC Inspector plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties. The QA/QC Inspector will represent ACCO and its subcontractors for pipe and equipment installation, welding inspection and oversight of subcontractor installation and quality. The QA/QC Inspector will participate in the General Contractors project quality program documenting installation activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
• Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
• Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether the product has been vetted by ACCO for future purchases from the vendor.
• Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies, codes and procedures.
• Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
• Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
• Maintains a working knowledge of codes and specifications for current industry quality standards.
• The quality team may assign other duties.

Secondary Duties / Responsibilities:

• Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
• Prepares and presents technical information and reports to team members and management.
• Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Site QC Supervisor or QA/QC Director in conjunction with the project team.

This person will also support the First Article process from start to finish including dimensioning and documentation including submitting first article documentation to Engineering for approval. This person will interact with the Materials Dept. (Receiving, Production Planning/Scheduling and Inventory Control) personnel to assure accurate and efficient processing of incoming material from receiving; acceptance and disposition into the appropriate location (perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures) as well as with Engineering for First Article clarification and completion. Additionally, you will: Performs visual and dimensional measurements (first articles) of complex purchased and internal components using microscope, caliper, micrometer, pins gauge, gauge block, height gage, and drop indicator amongst other measurement equipment.Manage, conduct and interpret the results of component qualification (e.g., first article inspection) activities.
