**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Evaluate and develop plans to improve the performance of automation equipment.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Perform quality control tests for the specific product line in accordance with established local or national standards. This position will be required to conduct quality control tests within the precision standards established by ASTM and AASHTO. The position will be required to report results upward and seek assistance to analyze data. Conducts in depth problem solving, detailed data and trend analysis, and troubleshooting associated with aggregate material performance.
This position also assists the Material Performance Manager of the product line in the implementation of best practices and techniques, in regards to product quality and quality initiatives.
**The Technician will maintain a second shift work schedule of Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 9:00pm, Saturdays based on production needs.**
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Carries out ongoing lab and field sampling. Testing to ensure that material produced and shipped meet State, project and customer specifications and expectations. Failure to do so will result in rejection of products that could produce significant negative impact to (1) Market Area financials and (2) Amrize's image in the marketplace.
+ Assist with the development, administration, implementation and documentation of material control plans and related material performance data, procedures and project-specific quality control.
+ Perform some service, repair, and calibration of laboratory and field testing equipment on a timely basis.
+ Carries out regular updates to appropriate Quality Control and Quality Assurance test databases and spreadsheets and provide report summaries or analyses as needed.
+ Provide "troubleshooting" guidance and advice, for various customers both internal and external.
+ Technical material performance support and expertise provided for all plants in geographic area.
+ Recommend and assist with plant changes to ensure conformance and consistency.
+ Assist Plant Superintendents and Managers as required.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
**Education:** High School diploma/GED
**Work Experience:** 1-3 years
+ At least two years of experience as materials Q.C. Laboratory Technician preferred.
+ DOT Aggregate Technician Certificate or the ability to obtain within 3 months.
+ Mine Safety and Health Administration Certificate (MSHA) or the ability to obtain in 6 months through Amrize training.
+ Availability and willingness to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends to meet customer needs.
**Additional Requirements:**
+ Maintain a plant diary documenting weather conditions, material produced, samples taken, problems, corrective actions and general comments related to quality.
+ Educates customers in proper application of all Amrize products.
+ Responsible for own ongoing maintenance, calibration and calibration documentation of testing equipment.

You will be responsible for conducting various inspections and tests to maintain the integrity of our products, packaging, and processes.
Responsibilities
+ Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment readiness.
+ Conduct X-ray and metal detector testing to identify foreign materials.
+ Perform quality checks and document findings.
+ Conduct dimension and integrity checks on boxes and packaging.
+ Match ingredient codes on labels to ensure accuracy.
+ Perform seal checks and specification checks, including best by dates.
+ Hold production lines if necessary to maintain quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or equivalent quality experience in the food industry.
+ Understanding of HACCP and critical control points is a plus.
+ Attention to detail, high level of integrity, and excellent time management skills.
+ Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
+ Strong sense of honesty and accountability.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Job Description
The Mold Quality Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and performance of molds used in the production of concrete and molten steel castings. This hands-on position involves mold inspection, quality control, troubleshooting, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of interpreting technical drawings and performing dimensional inspections. This role offers growth opportunities, including potential leadership positions as the department expands and modernizes.
Responsibilities
+ Own the mold quality process from design through production.
+ Perform dimensional and visual inspections to ensure molds meet specifications.
+ Troubleshoot mold-related issues and coordinate maintenance or repairs.
+ Maintain mold identification, tracking, and preventive maintenance programs.
+ Collaborate with engineers, production, and product managers on new mold introductions.
+ Conduct mold audits and manage technical documentation and internal databases.
+ Support safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
+ Participate in internal and external audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Operate in both office and production environments, including exposure to heat, noise, and heavy equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in reading and understanding CAD drawings and technical blueprints.
+ Skilled in using calipers, tape measures, and precision tools for dimensional checks.
+ Experienced in conducting inspections, audits, and standardized tests.
+ Knowledgeable in mold tracking, preventive maintenance, and repair coordination.
+ Actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Comfortable working in industrial environments with adherence to safety protocols.
+ Strong grasp of basic math, including percentages, averages, and algebra.
+ Maintains detailed records of inspections, test results, and mold performance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
+ 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, tool shop, maintenance, or welding.
+ Familiarity with quality control processes and procedures.
+ Experience using calipers, tape measures, and hand tools.
+ Strong organizational and analytical skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (CAD).
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication.
+ Comfortable working independently and under pressure.
+ Positive, diplomatic, and engaging demeanor with leadership potential.
