Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for performing a variety of assignments related to regular and special department functions to ensure the mold continuously flows through the plant with minimal to no interruption in the process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hard worker with dependable and reliable attendance
• Comply with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures, and housekeeping standards
• Locate, read & interpret standard practices and procedures from multiple cells
• Perform a variety of job duties in the wax cell including, but not limited to: die changeover, sprue or pattern manufacturing, mold assembly, and inspection
• Perform a variety of job duties in the dip cell including, but not limited to: hanging and dipping molds by hand, running the robotic dip cell, unloading molds, dewaxing, and inspection
• Perform a variety of job duties in the melt cell including, but not limited to: kaowool wrapping molds, loading ovens, pulling, setting, pouring, melting, shell removal, and part removal
• Perform a variety of job duties in the finishing cell including, but not limited to: Removing gates, cleaning parts, operating CNC equipment, inspection and repair, shipping and receiving to customers or subcontractors
• Maintain electronic records in various manufacturing systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment or processes as assigned by leadership
• If certified on the forklift loading and unloading trucks, transporting material to point-of-use or storage location

The **Manufacturing Supervisor** is responsible for managing a department within a fast-paced production plant within FreshRealm's operations team. Always ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of company specifications. Follows all health and safety standards, GMP's and enforces use of PPE's.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ To ensure the full implementation of 'Safety Systems'.

+ Maximize the efficiency of the department and ensure Daily Production plan targets are attained.
+ Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, both within the department and all surrounding areas.

+ Analyze 'Downtime' ensuring proper explanation of the reasons for 'Lost' production and liaise with other Departments / Plant Managers on addressing the resulting issues.
+ Effectively manage the labor resource and control this to within the given budgets/targets for the required output.
+ Deal with staff issues of discipline, grievance, and welfare within the guidelines laid out in the Company's published policies and procedures.
+ To promote 'Quality' within the department by positively reinforcing the Company's quality ethos and encouraging a 'right first time, every time approach.
+ Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Quality standards as identified on Product Specifications, isolate and address any non-conformances and monitor measures designed to maintain and improve standards, elevate issues to the QA dept.
+ To ensure 'Process Control' systems are properly implemented and maintained.
+ Ensure department Associates are managed, motivated, and trained.
+ To maintain and not exceed departmental budgets.
+ To ensure effective communications at all levels and complete all necessary administrative work.
**Qualifications**
**Skills & Requirements:**
+ A Minimum one (1) year of experience in a first-level production management role, preferably in a chilled food environment, within a fast-paced business.
+ Experience working in a fresh food manufacturing environment applying common processes, procedures, and equipment. Experience managing in a chilled food manufacturing business preferred.
+ One (1) year or more experience applying and enforcing routine Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in a food environment is essential.
+ Knowledge of large-scale business start-ups is preferred.
+ Experience working in a continuous improvement environment and demonstrated delivery through change.
+ Certified and /or trained in OSHA requirements or expectations, HACCP, SDS, First Aid/CPR, and Food Hygiene.
+ Ability to motivate others to work routine and monotonous processes and stand for extended periods of time.
+ Must have a good understanding of English, bilingual (Spanish) speaking skills are helpful.
+ Ability to work in a cold/ damp environment and stand for extended periods.

This position is responsible for verifying and maintaining the quality plan established by the Company that complies with ANSI/ISO/ASQ/Q and P-Card corrective action. Primary Duties
* Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. * Assists manufacturing in verifying that the quality work instructions are being followed as indicated in the procedures. This includes comparison and verification to customer specifications, CAD drawings, Print Cards and approved samples.
* Conduct daily quality audits for product conformity against the supplied specifications, including fit form and function of the product.
* Updates daily non-conforming logs.
* Conduct daily quality audits on specs for completeness of information required from the machine operators and supervisors.
* Conduct daily quality audits as a visual inspection of the products on stacking, stretch wrapping, number of strapping, pallet size, quantity per unit and proper dunnage.
* Communicates any non-conformity or questionable products to the production machine operators, assistants and shift supervisors.
* Monitors, communicates and updates status of the products in quarantine in the computer operating system.
* When needed, performs testing, to ensure quality of edge crush, pin, basis weight, etc.
* Analyzes and logs reports on any testing to ensure adherence to specifications.
* Conducts quality system training as necessary and verifies the effectiveness.
* Assumes Responsibility for the effective preparation, maintenance, and reporting of internal quality inspections and analyses.
* Identifies, prepares and maintains the daily quality audit reports for the quality control team.
* Analyzes results of the daily quality audit records and makes recommendations for the continual process improvement.
* Responsible for pulling samples of products and copy of specification sheet that requires improvement and/or change.
* Responsible for maintaining sample room of both conforming and non-conforming products, including filing and purging activities.
* Follow-ups and verifies the effectiveness of the change.
* Provides training sheets at the time training is conducted.
* Obtains the training sheets that were completed by the trainees.
* Plays an active role on the quality management teams within the organization.
* Conducts quality checks and verifies non-conformity products at customer site when requested and reports on any and all findings.
* Conducts audits for Food Security, Good Manufacturing Practices, and ISO on specified frequency and is responsible for entering the data into the system.
* Conducts audits of calibration equipment at each machine and is responsible for documenting and reporting of these audits.

* Follow up and advises the Quality Control Manager regarding the status and result of pending non-conformity issues.
* Leads and participate in sorting, inspection or rework activities to ensure compliance to specification and/or regulatory requirements.

* Ensures the timely communication and processes of reports, findings and other documentation.

**Program Summary:**

Our 18-month development program provides participants a full-time operational role, designed to improve their manufacturing skills and exposure to Saint-Gobain North America. Participants will be located at one singular manufacturing plant for 18 months and will be involved with quarterly travel to other Saint-Gobain manufacturing sites in North America. The time split between local site projects and EOM program activities is 80:20 respectively. Classroom-based E-learnings, hands-on-action-based learning in operational environments as well as a plethora of networking opportunities, are just some of the activities in place designed to accelerate your career development and future career growth. These trainings and quarterly travel opportunities are a requirement for program completion and full participation should be given, except for extenuating circumstances. While start dates for EOM program participants may vary, program activities kickoff each year in July and end 18 months later in December of the following year. Upon program completion, EOM Engineers will work with our dedicated Human Resources team to find an operational role in one of our nearly 160 sites throughout North America. While a final placement role is not guaranteed, most EOM Engineer graduates are able to choose from multiple Saint-Gobain sites for final placement offers.
