**The Job You Will Perform:**
+ Provide leadership, coordination, and competencies that guide the manufacturing team and processes in the area of safety, productivity, housekeeping, customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, and people systems, while promoting continuous improvement and the use of reliable methods within the manufacturing organization.
+ Responsible for the development and achievement of the manufacturing business plan and overall cost effectiveness of the manufacturing operation.

+ Implement and maintain systems to drive manufacturing improvements.

+ Ensure that all manufacturing processes run in accordance with EPA regulations.

**Welcome to BWXT:**
At BWXT, our interns perform challenging tasks in their field of study while developing and delivering unique solutions for use in a nuclear environment. Our interns work collaboratively as part of our teams and will create/update drawings and procedures, assist with product and/or tooling designs, perform testing and analysis, and assist with project management and the procurement of materials as needed. A BWXT internship not only provides valuable on the job training but allows you to be a part of something bigger!
BWXT offers paid internships along with a housing stipend for those interns whose home of record is more than 50 miles from Barberton, OH. Internships will last approximately 10-12 weeks. At the end of the internship, each intern has the opportunity to present their completed work/ assigned projects to the leadership team.
**Your Day to Day as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern:**
+ Learn and understand the responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer.
+ Development and support of manufacturing process plans in accordance with contract technical requirements. The Manufacturing Engineer assumes responsibility for implementation of the manufacturing process and improvements to the process during the complete fabrication cycle.
+ Ensures all design and quality requirements are satisfied. Works with Design Engineering during the component design phase to ensure the design can be manufactured in a cost-effective manner.
+ Identifies facility and tooling requirements, manufacturing methods and /or develops new manufacturing methods. Identifies material requirements and supports procurement.
+ Monitors performance and controls costs of manufacture. Prepares technical procedures and documents. Resolves any problems encountered during manufacture. Works with customers and vendors as necessary.
+ Provides status and schedule support of products during the complete manufacturing cycle. Prepares Program Plans as required, incorporating necessary schedule and support information.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Successful candidates must be currently enrolled in an ABET accredited mechanical engineering program.
+ Students must be at a sophomore standing or above at the time the internship begins
+ Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
+ Qualifications include strong communication and coordination skills, interest in working with multiple disciplines in support of product design and manufacture and adept with Scheduling Software Programs.
+ Preference will be given to students who have also completed coursework in Statics, Mechanics of Materials, and/or Solid Modeling.
+ US citizenship with no dual citizenship is required for this position

2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm

We are looking for Senior Manufacturing Technicians with at least 3 years of experience in a production environment at our facility in Medina, OH.
Our technicians are responsible for training and managing technicians in operation of plastic injection blow molders and extrusion machines, ensuring our products meet all quality standards and customer expectations.

What You'll Be Doing as a Senior Manufacturing Technician:
Train, develop and manage technicians to meet business needs
Act as back-up Team Leader as needed
Relieve Production Techs for breaks and lunches
Inspect line set-ups and continuously monitor operations
Troubleshoot & repair machinery using mechanical & electrical skills
Control scrap, reliability and quality through process checks
Work with Team Lead on the performance evaluation process
