Position Summary:

The Marketing & Media Administrator provides direct support to the Press & Advertising Director in all aspects of media relations, advertising operations, and public relations execution. This role takes over all press-related duties previously assigned to the Social Media & Audience Engagement Director, focusing on talent media coordination, press tent operations, credentialing, and internal communication related to media activities. The Administrator ensures that systems supporting local and national media coverage, artist PR coordination, and promotional visibility are well-managed and efficiently executed.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Media Coordination
  • Act as point of contact Work with artist representatives regarding Festival marketing plans, media opportunities, and social media promotional assets.
  • Distribute approved promotional kits to artist teams. in coordination with the Design & Internet Director and Social Media & Audience Engagement Director.
  • Track distribution and ensure follow-up on artist usage of provided materials.
Press Management & On-Site Operations
  • Assist in the management of the Festival press application process, including intake, review, and credential distribution.
  • Coordinate press tent operations during the Festival, including check-in procedures, media scheduling, and hospitality.
  • Oversee photo pit access, photographer credentials, and enforcement of media guidelines.
Interview Scheduling & PR Logistics
  • Assist with the scheduling and facilitation of artist and staff interviews before and during the Festival.

Overview

Primary Purpose

The Marketing Intern will play a key role in supporting ENFRA's brand and communications strategy across multiple channels. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content creation, digital marketing, campaign analytics, and internal communications within a fast-paced, innovative environment. Working closely with the Marketing & Communications team, the intern will assist in executing projects that enhance ENFRA's brand presence, engage employees, and support client-facing initiatives.

This role is ideal for a student who is eager to apply academic knowledge to real-world marketing challenges, develop practical skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that support ENFRA's mission to Create. Sustain. Empower.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

The Marketing Intern's responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development of marketing materials, presentations, and collateral to support company objectives.

  • Support content creation for internal and external platforms and campaigns.

  • Help monitor analytics and compile performance reports for digital campaigns.

  • Collaborate with team members on event planning, including logistics, creative assets, and communications.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative strategies for upcoming initiatives.

  • Research industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging tools to inform marketing strategies.

  • Provide general administrative support for the Marketing & Communications team.

  • Maintain and update marketing assets such as staff resumes, project profiles, and firm overview materials

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, business or Graphic Design.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms a plus.

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.

  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a team-oriented environment.

Travel Requirements

  • 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

The Community Outreach and Marketing Specialist works with the Director of Strategic Initiatives, Assistant Director of Community Partnerships and other Lepage Center staff and key stakeholders to create innovative programs that support local businesses in the community. This role will inform these programmatic decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative data analysis from the entrepreneurial community. The Specialist is responsible for survey creation and creating an outreach strategy that effectively communicates our programs and initiatives to a variety of stakeholder groups such as students, community partners, entrepreneurs, and investors resulting in increased engagement. This role manages all Lepage Center social media accounts, maintains the visual identity of the center, and analyzes the performance of our marketing efforts, identifying new opportunities, and implementing plans for improvement. • Demonstrated passion for entrepreneurship and small businesses.
• Experience with survey creation and data collection, both quantitative and qualitative.

• Experience with data analysis and trend identification through analysis of multiple years of longitudinal data.

• Experience with entrepreneurship indirectly in an economic development organization, an entrepreneur support organization, or a university setting, or directly by working at a small business or new venture.

• Ability to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders and creative solutions to effectively engage students, alumni, benefactors, and the entrepreneurial community to inspire commitment and support of the Center's mission and objectives.

• Ability to conceptualize and implement social media strategy by creating a calendar of opportunities, managing paid advertising, and pursuing other efforts resulting in increased adoption and awareness of the activities of the center, new ventures and innovations developed by Freeman and Tulane students, and entrepreneurship-related research by faculty at Freeman and across Tulane.

• Proven track record of increasing engagement on social media.

• Appreciation and knowledge of entrepreneurs, small businesses, and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative manner.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient computer skills and excellent working knowledge of software packages and applications applicable to the responsibilities of the position.
• MBA or similar graduate degree in marketing/communications with 1 year of experience in marketing or working with entrepreneurs and/or small businesses
OR

• Bachelor's Degree in marketing and at least 3 years' experience in marketing or working with entrepreneurs and/or small businesses.

• MBA or graduate degree in marketing / communications
• Communications experience within a university or college setting, for a marketing agency, or in with entrepreneurial organizations or businesses
