PR/Marketing Internship: This is a part-time 12-hours per week, 12 week, unpaid remote internship. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the program in fewer weeks.
The role focuses on heightening awareness of our work and includes:
Creating a branding campaign.
Conducting an informal focus group and gathering feedback for market research.
Pitching story ideas to print, broadcast and digital media.
Creating and implementing a fundraising strategy.
Planning, marketing and presenting at an informational meeting.
Utilizing social media and developing strategies for web-based messaging.
Assisting with The Borgen Project's advocacy efforts.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary, we’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of your GPAs/background. < r>

Marketing Automation (Primary Focus):
- Administer Adobe Marketo: user governance, data hygiene, documentation.
- Design and launch lifecycle journeys, nurture streams, and personalized campaigns.
- Ensure seamless integration with CRM, e-commerce, and data platforms.
- Build and refine attribution models; manage UTM taxonomy and tagging.
- Implement AI features (e.g., send-time optimization, anomaly detection).

- Plan and optimize global paid search and social campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, etc.).
- Define bidding strategies, build audiences, and test creatives and landing pages.
- Monitor KPIs (CPL, CTR, ROAS) and deliver actionable insights.
- Develop dashboards to visualize funnel metrics and campaign performance.
- Conduct A/B testing and statistical analysis to guide optimization.
- Present insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Own and manage the global digital advertising and automation budget.
- Monitor pacing, forecast expenditures, and reallocate spend for ROI.
- Provide monthly budget reports and scenario projections.
- Lead agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives.

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
