***Job Description**: As a Material Handler at DHL, you will be responsible for moving and handling materials and products within the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading materials from delivery vehicles, operating forklifts and other machinery, and ensuring that all materials are stored correctly and efficiently. **Job Description**: The Material Handler at FedEx is responsible for the efficient movement and storage of materials within the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading materials, operating machinery, and ensuring that inventory is properly managed and stored. You will be responsible for tracking inventory, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that materials are readily available for shipping and production processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Load, unload, stock tires and auto parts in a fast-paced warehouse environment using industrial vehicles such as a forklift or picker equipment

• Use scanners to find and put away tires and assist with inventory control

• You can expect to lift 50 pounds consistently throughout your shift and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds. When lifting commercial tires you will do team lifts or use mechanical equipment.

• When working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires you will need to be able to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds

• Some of our stock racks are 25 feet tall, so you must be comfortable working at those heights safely while operating equipment.

• Be on the move. You should be willing and able to work on your feet for extended periods of time and work overtime as needed

• Contribute to our culture of safety, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and operating procedures.

• May assist other departments, such as ecomm, inventory, and will call depending on business needs

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent.

• Must be 18 years or older to operate equipment

• 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience

• Manage sorting and placement of materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, product code and related characteristics; tend to be more routine or typical.
• Opportunity to operate a forklift once certified and required.
• Complete or verify appropriate forms, documents, labels and other information to ensure the accuracy of inventory, monitor and track material and successful receiving and/or delivery of goods; tends to be basic information or standard in nature.
• Operate hand tools to close or open bales, build or tear down crates, and other containers or material; tends to be more predictable packaging.
• Assist with identifying potential operational or service concerns, notify appropriate co-workers and assist with resolving.
