Responsibilities
The Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon will diagnose patients and treat various conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions. Responsibilities include direct supervision of OMFS resident staff. The candidate will be part of a growing OMFS Department that includes a strong infrastructure of support with the present attending staff in OMFS. Assumption of role will include Program Director in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery .
- Primary responsibilities include direct supervision of OMFS resident team as Program Director in OMFS.
- Participation in daily rounds of in-patients
- Scholarly activity with resident education program and mentorship of research initiatives
- Educational conferences and presentations to faculty and residents across all disciplines
- Growth of Craniofacial Division to include treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Cleft Palate Repair
Qualifications
- Doctor of dental surgery (DDS) or Doctor of medicine in dentistry (DMD). MD degree Preferred
- Board Eligible by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. (Board Certification Preferred)
- Appropriate New York state licensure
- Fellowship Certificate of training preferred however not required
