Job Summary:
Assemble opto-mechanical systems in accordance to manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, process documents, etc.) using a variety of hand tools, measuring devices and test equipment.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build opto-mechanical assemblies by using assembly drawings and assembly procedures
- Work with assembly and inspection tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, height gages, and dial indicators
- Support of optical alignment and testing of optical systems
- Document actions by completing checklists
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Generate work order material kits using printed bills of material (BOM)
- General lab maintenance as necessary
Job Qualifications:
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
- Minimum of 3 years of assembly experience required
- Ability to read complex assembly drawings and process instructions
- Independent worker, requiring little to no supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Experience using standard hand tools allen wrenches, screw drivers, torque wrenches, etc.
- Familiarity with computers as applicable to manufacturing

- This position will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as cables and harnesses.
- Ability to read and understand, in English, the customer Drawings, Parts List, Wire List, Processes, Specifications, and assembly Routers for step-by-step instructions on how to manufacture the wire harness and cable assembly.
- Production of wire harness and cable assemblies using hand and/or power tools (including specialized crimpers, soldering tools, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, wire strippers and cutters, precision measuring instruments, etc.).
- Ability to use measuring devices and understand how to read them.
- Daily cable and harness techniques (wire cutting, cable prep and layup, connectorization, crimping, soldering, jacketing, braiding, molding, use of lacing tape and spot ties for open wire bundles, testing, etc.).
- Perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
- Conduct in-process inspections on product in accordance with quality specifications.

To manufacture/test medical device subassemblies in an Electric Static Discharge (ESD) environment. Working Conditions / Physical Demands
The above-described work requirements / description are performed in a seated position at a production table at a height of approximately 36 inches from ground level. Materials that are handled, inspected, and assembled are all performed while materials are placed on a table work surface eliminating continuous lifting of even these items. The assembly/production process is self-paced with all reasonable deliverables and expectations clearly communicated.
The above-described work activities require lifting / carrying up to 50 pounds maximum. All work responsibilities are self-paced with break periods. Workers will perform tasks in an adjustable high back ergonomically designed seating system and have the ability to change position frequently throughout the workday.

•Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products following work instruction and drawings.
•Use microscopes, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment to meet quality requirements.
•Read and interpret assembly process/work instructions and work instruction processes.
•Work with microscopic to large components that may require visual magnification.
•Use various hand tools (such as tweezers, rulers, and cutters) and pneumatic tools (such as torque drivers, and screwdrivers).
•Maintain accurate data entry related to production processes.
•Collaborate with teams members to improve throughput and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
•Basic computer skills required, including ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
•Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
•Ability to learn J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610.
•Experience with electrical and/or micro-electronics preferred.

Job Summary:
Perform a wide variety of electronic or mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or subassemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation, substrate lamination, hand cutting and cleaning on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Perform the various tasks necessary to assemble electronic assemblies for production. This includes the documentation necessary to track the traveler and the assembler's performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Mechanically assemble sub-systems integrating electronic components from work instructions and assembly drawings

Manipulation of items using a variety of tools while using a microscope
-
Maintain logs and paperwork and forms accurately
-
Operates and troubleshoots production line machinery and computers
-
Meet/exceed production schedules and deadlines according to quality standards
-
Self-monitoring of workmanship
-
Understand and follow all safety requirements, as well as ISO Practices and Procedures

Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Typically requires at least 1 year of experience working with computer hardware components

CompTIA A+ Certification (equal to 2 years of work experience)

CompTIA IT Fundamentals Certification (equal to 1 year of work experience)

Experience with the following IPC standards preferred: IPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620

Certification as a CIS (or CIT) to IPC standard IPC-A-610 or the ability to successfully obtain certification within 6 months of hire (required).

Mechanical Assembly skills, including the ability to recognize non-conformities

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be part of the production department supporting various teams. Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Location: Peabody, MA (This company will be relocating to Salem, NH. It is necessary for this role that you have your own transportation to both locations.)
Pay Range: $23-$25 (Based on skills and experience)
Shift: Flexible start time (6-7am) on a 9/80 schedule: Week 1: Mon-Thu (9 hrs/day), Fri (8 hrs); Week 2: Mon-Thu (9 hrs/day), Fri off
