The department this position supports provides world class IT Infrastructure service for the end users in support of the mission and national security. They will be responsible for providing modern telecommunications systems for data, telephone, wireless LAN, RF Microwave, and encryption capabilities with emphasis on securing and protecting the client's information, standardization, and reducing heterogeneity. These services are provided in an effective and proactive manner, using customer support, applications, and data necessary.
The work is an on-site with a Monday-Friday work schedule. Occasional after-hours work required for upgrades and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Telephone MAC Admin Services:
- Review incoming IT Service Desk requests clarifying and resolve customer requirement issues.
- Telephone MAC Field Operations Services
- Install properly operating station equipment (telephones, etc) at the end user's location and install distribution frame patches and disconnects in communication rooms
- DOE Telephone system operations
- DOE OSP Cable operations
- DOE Voicemail system MAC operations Telephone Trouble Admin Services:
- Telephone Central Office Operation and Maintenance Services
- Use defined procedures to operate and troubleshoot the Avaya, all remote Avaya nodes, and all associated equipment and install and administer frame patches and disconnects at the phone switch and configure and maintain Telephone ACD system
- Warehouse Management Services:
- Administer and maintain a database of all inventory items and material resources and complete necessary documentation to accommodate material resource acquisition, distribution, reapplication and reclassification
- Wired-infrastructure Services: Building-to-building cabling (outside plant) and internal-building cabling (inside plant)
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in IT related field plus 4 years of IT experience
- In lieu of a degree, 3 years of IT can be substituted totaling 7 years of IT experience
- Must be a US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance.

Required Skills
Provision, configure, and manage physical and virtual servers, as well as the software that runs on the servers and the hardware that supports them.
Install and troubleshoot IT resources, establish and manage user accounts, upgrade and patch software, and perform backup and recovery tasks.
Familiar with network automation, monitoring, orchestration, troubleshooting, and provisioning tools such as Solarwinds, InMon products, Statseeker, AKIPS, Gigamon products, application performance management products, and network performance management products. Work is onsite.

For all work areas requested, individuals are required to have and maintain a DOE Q clearance. All resources shall perform work requests for tasks assigned by the service manager, team manager/lead or team coordinator, within the work areas requested. - Support desktop systems as well as OT/IOT equipment in both networked and standalone environments, responding, documenting, and closing tickets as submitted. The following expectations.

- Support network and virtual services development, design, implementation, testing, trouble resolution, network monitoring tools, and maintenance contracts.
- Provide evaluation and design inputs to team for customer networks.
- Update IT records systems to ensure accurate tracking and documentation.
- Review specific incoming IT Service Desk requests and resolve customer requirement issues.
- Coordinate with advanced Network Operations teams as needed to support port activation and connection of device to ports.
- Allocate subnets for customer environments.
- Assist setup of customer firewall rules.
- Possess the ability to partner with other IT teams such as corporate cyber security, firewall and proxy teams.
- Represent the interests of assigned teams or customers in change advisory boards.
- Associate's Degree and 4 years of experience

- U.S. Citizenship is required per Contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance.

+ 4+ years of relevant SCI experience.
+ Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 such as CompTIA Security + CE, within 6 months of the date of hire.
+ Working knowledge of JAFAN 6/0, DCID/JAFAN 6/3, DCID/JAFAN 6/9, and Joint DODIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy as they relate to C&A for Legacy systems.
+ Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate ICDs/JAFANs/DOD Manuals and other guiding policy documents.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 2+ years of SAP-related experience highly desired.
+ Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
+ Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision.
+ Requires travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive and will include both air and ground transportation).
**Clearance Requirements:**

(The department this position supports provides world class IT Infrastructure service for the end users in support of the mission and national security. They will be responsible for providing modern telecommunications systems for data, telephone, wireless LAN, RF Microwave, and encryption capabilities with emphasis on securing and protecting the client’s information, standardization, and reducing heterogeneity. These services are provided in an effective and proactive manner, using customer support, applications, and data necessary.)
