Position: PRN Nurse Practitioner

Pay : $100 Per Visit

The Nurse Practitioner serves as a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team and has responsibility for the medical component of the Hospice Patient Care Program. Collaborates with Medical Director and Attending Physician to provide skillful certifications and recertification assessments, including physical examinations, medical history & physical, diagnosis and treatment prescribing medications as needed, under the supervision of the Medical Director.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the Medical Director, provides direction and guidance to the hospice program, liaison with MD, Attending Physician, other NP's, staff and volunteers to assure the maintenance of quality care for patients and families.
  • The Nurse Practitioner also serves as a liaison and contact between the hospice program, community physicians, Nurse Practitioners and others engaged in health care services in order to develop and expand the number of patients served by Hospice.
  • The Nurse Practitioner provides direct medical care as needed to patients in their homes, nursing homes and in the hospital.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Master's Degree Nursing Program with current ARNP license for assigned state.
  • Nursing experience required, with experience in Hospice or Home Care preferred.
  • Training, experience, interest, and knowledge regarding the psychosocial, and medical aspects of terminally ill patients is required; CHPN certification preferred
  • Self directed; excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to act as a liaison with team and physicians.
  • Up-to-date Notice and Formulary form.
  • Current driver's license for the state of residency.

Requirements

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.

Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Tennessee.

Proven expertise with injectables, lasers, and medical-grade skincare treatments.

Type: PRN - Flexible-Nurse Practitioner

PAY:   Earn from $1,800 up to $,000 per month (Based on an average of 20-100 completed visits per month, and pay of 90 per completed assessment). Compensation range is based on availability and assessment completion.

Location: Home, SNF and other community environments in Russellville, Kentucky

Hours : Days, Evening, Nights, weekend, Flexible Scheduling

Benefits : PRN providers are non-benefited except for 401(k) and limited Voluntary Benefits

Qualifications:

Must Haves:

  • Master’s Degree required OR commensurate experience and satisfactory completion of NP licensure
  • Current RN and NP licensure in state of practice to include prescription authority or the ability to obtain prescriptive authority
  • Board certified by the AANP, ANCC or the AACCN in a Matrix approved specialty
  • Have a current BLS, ACLS or CPR certification
  • Have a Minimum of 1 year experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Have strong computer skills and familiarity with Employee health/medical record software
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with patient, clients and colleagues
  • Be comfortable and flexible with frequent change

Travel Requirements:

  • Have the ability to travel, a valid state driver license and able to drive a car, proof of adequate automobile insurance coverage for the state of residence
  • Travel required to meet patients where they live

The Nurse Practitioner provides health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic conditions.

This is a Float Nurse Practitioner position that will require someone to travel between clinics. Mileage will be reimbursed for all travel outside of your home base clinic.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Minimum of two to five years directly applicable experience
+ Successful completion of a nurse practitioner or physician assistant program with board certification
+ Active, unrestricted nurse practitioner or physician assistant license in state of practice location?(TN)
+ Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationships and communications with all colleagues; fully engaged in the concept of "Integrated team-based care"
+ Willingness and ability to learn/adapt to practice in a value-based care setting
+ Superior patient/customer service
+ Basic computer skills, including email and EMR
+ Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of a collaborating physician/medical director

Basic Requirements:

Education:

  • Skilled in comprehensive primary care, including chronic care management and preventive measures.

Current License and Certification:
