We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner at our Omaha, NE  clinic to help ensure our service members get the best care possible. You will play a vital role in the continued care of these men and women. 

Your Role at Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska:

As a Nurse Practitioner with Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska, a Leidos QTC Health Service affiliated professional corporation, you will conduct a variety of general medicine, occupational, and disability health examinations including, but not limited to: 

  • Reviewing medical history and associated records
  • Interpreting clinical data
  • Completing written reports and generating independent medical opinions (IMO)

The examinations may be completed in-person (in a clinic setting), in the examinee’s home, telephonically, at large event settings for the Reserve Health Readiness Program, or using telehealth platforms.

You will be traveling (up to 30%) to provide physical examinations for veterans and service members in multiple locations throughout the country.  All travel expenses are covered and a per diem will be received.

  • Generally Mon-Fri  Clinic operating hours are generally 8am -5pm, with weekend/evening schedules based on operational needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Physical exams for a variety of customers to include federal, defense and others.
  • Occupational health exams to include pre- and post-employment and annual physicals.
  • Written medical opinions based on provided medical records/information and acceptable clinical evidence (ACE)
  • Provide telephonic and virtual exams
  • Unique exam settings - homebound, event sites, etc.
  • Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs)
  • Provide primary medical evaluations to include, but not limited to: review of systems, pap smear, and range of motion
  • Complete initial review and interpretation of diagnostic studies to include but not limited to:  laboratory, pulmonary function and ECG studies
  • Documentation of examinee records in appropriate systems.
  • Collaboration with other professional and clinical staff as needed and communicate with internal and client team members in determining the most effective and evidence-based way forward on behalf of the examinee population.

Required Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)  

  • Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited college or university.
  • Current National Licensing w/ ANCC or AANP
  • Minimum 12 years of post-graduate primary care / internal medicine experience.
  • Unrestricted State medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice in the state of hire.
  • Ability to obtain DEA license
  • Valid BLS OR ACLS certification
  • Ability to earn and maintain clinical training/certifications as required by current and future contracts.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain government clearances (LARS, Public Trust, NACI, etc.) as required.
  • Ability to pass a medical clearance consisting of passing an N95 respirator fit test, properly wearing organizational standard respiratory protective equipment as required, passing a Tuberculosis/TB test, and receiving a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or passing a Hepatitis A/B Titer test and other medical clearances/vaccinations as required.   

Preferred Experience:  

  • Experience conducting occupational/disability medical examinations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist individuals in determining the number and spacing of their children through the provision of affordable, voluntary family planning services.

Provide preconception counseling, education, general reproductive and basic infertility health care which includes pregnancy diagnosis and counseling with assistance to achieve pregnancy through basic infertility services, and other preconception health services.

Educate on and provide a comprehensive range of services for clients who want to prevent pregnancy and space births to include natural family planning, hormone methods or placement for Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC).

Administer and manage pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), including conducting thorough reviews of laboratory test results to ensure effective and appropriate treatment plans.

Provide comprehensive direct care that includes client education, diagnosis, and counseling. Preventative health services encompass, but are not limited to, manual breast examination, pelvic examinations, cervical cancer screenings, as well as education, counseling, testing and referral or treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STI) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).

Issue medical prescriptions based on assessed health needs, ensuring that all treatments are both necessary and appropriate following comprehensive medical evaluations.

Provide screening and referrals for alcohol misuse, substance use disorder, depression, domestic violence, human trafficking and other mental health concerns.

Assist with the development and maintenance of robust referral networks to ensure all clients have access to comprehensive primary care, specialized care, and social services.

Your Role at Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska:

As a Nurse Practitioner with Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska, a Leidos QTC Health Service affiliated professional corporation, you will conduct a variety of general medicine, occupational, and disability health examinations including, but not limited to: 

  • Reviewing medical history and associated records
  • Interpreting clinical data
  • Completing written reports and generating independent medical opinions (IMO)

The examinations may be completed in-person (in a clinic setting), in the examinee’s home, telephonically, at large event settings for the Reserve Health Readiness Program, or using telehealth platforms.

You will be traveling (up to 30%) to provide physical examinations for veterans and service members in multiple locations throughout the country.  All travel expenses are covered and a per diem will be received.
