TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Electrophysiology (EP) department in an inpatient setting. The NP or PA will work collaboratively with the electrophysiology and cardiology teams to provide high-quality patient care for individuals with cardiac arrhythmias, implanted cardiac devices, and other electrophysiologic conditions. This role involves patient assessment, treatment planning, medication management, and coordination of care in the hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic interpretation.
  • Assist in managing patients with arrhythmias, pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including ECGs, Holter monitors, echocardiograms, and electrophysiology studies.
  • Collaborate with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, procedures, and device management.
  • Monitor and adjust medications as needed in accordance with treatment protocols.
  • Assist with post-procedural care and follow-up evaluations.
